Visited at 7.00pm, a cosy pub with a warm welcome. The restaurant is roomy and in a good way a quite dinning room. The service was excellent and the food was very nice. We were seated and starters came straight away, (after pre ordering in the bar ). Be prepared to eat well, the portions are large. Yes I do recommend this venue. All the staff were polite and efficient.
Visited here many times and the food and service is excellentBreakfasts are amazing with sizes named microlight or hurcules for the larger appetite.Good selection of classic pub dishes and a fabulous roast on a SundayAlso fab home made cakes
Traditional pub food+ varied menu, specials daily. Well cooked to order, very good vale. Warm atmosphere and welcoming hosts.
We popped in for lunch on Sunday and were greeted with a great carvery. There was a choice of beef, pork and ham (or any combination!) and all were delicious. The meat was accompanied by yorkshires, stuffing, roasties and an assortment of veg.The pub could do with a bit of a brighten up, but the welcome and the food were great.

This place is exactly what it says on the tin. A truck stop really. I notice someone was having a rant about dogs and water, Well I guess the way you ask people might have an impact. I would not suggest that place give me something for my dog to drink from but I did politely ask for a paper cup of water which my dog was happy to drink. The waitress was very friendly. I did notice a water bowl by the front door too so our experience was very different. Out dog being allowed in was a treat and he was well behaved under the table. The food was nice and hot and mostly well cooked, had a full breakfast. The only thing that stopped my giving a 5* was the fact that the sausages were nasty, about as cheap as you could get. On the upside the dog did profit from these as I just couldn't eat them

The Chequers at Weston is a country pub with a relaxed atmosphere serving pub food. With a great selection of beers, wine and of course gin. we pride ourself in freshly prepared food locally sourced where possible.
I visited this venue with family on the way home from a holiday. After searching trip advisor reviews I came across this place and thought we would give it a try, I have to say we was not disappointed. The duck burger was devine with freshly cooked products, other family members had the homemade haddock bites and chicken goujons and they reported these were also of a high standard. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere a little different.Very friendly customer service which made me feel like a valued customer, keep up the hardwork. Thank you for your comments its great to hear when people enjoy there time with us.

We stopped off for a cup of tea en route home after a day out in the area. We were welcomed and told to sit where we liked. We had a choice of teas and enjoyed a large pot of Earl Gray. My lemon sponge was huge and thoroughly delicious. I could have chosen a cake from the wide choice on offer. My husband enjoyed his sausage roll. The venue is a little off the main road but well signed. As we were preparing to leave a part of cyclists arrived and they too were warmly welcomed and a wide choice of refreshments were offered to them.If we are passing again, we shall certainly pop in.

They have now moved to a new, bigger premises up the road. As well as amazing milkshakes they now serve food. Iâve had the English and American breakfasts and was very impressed. Great quality ingredients and reasonably priced. The home made cheesecakes are divine and then thereâs the milkshakes. So many flavours to choose from. This place is an asset to the town. Was and still will be a regular visitor

Husband and I called in for dinner tonight,at 745pm were told not able to be seated till 830pm in the restaurant .We decided to wait and we were not disappointed. I ordered the lamb shank and it was amazing so delicious, very generous and best I have had anywhere and we come from Australia.Husband had the smoked salmon and asparagus and pasta and he was grinning ear to ear regards it taste, combination of flavours and the freshness of the asparagus. We so wanted to have dessert but were unable because the dishes were so generous .The waiter staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was lovely would return if only to try the desserts we had no room for .Very good pricing as well

Called for Saturday lunch whilst visiting family in the area. Were not disappointed good selection of meals with good sized portions at reasonable prices. Good choice of sweets.Cosy bar area in which to enjoy drink before meal. Not on a major highway but well worth the detour. Caravan club certificated site available. If in the area again looking for food would most certainly return

Had a lovely meal on Wednesday 2nd August to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Scallops, Lamb Rump and White Chocolate Pannacotta! Coupled with a small...but...well put together Gin & Tonic list (Warner Edwards ) and a phenomenal Dessert Wine. All 6 of us loved our meals and would deffo go back again. My only tip. If you're serving decent Gins, make sure the Garnish matches. A bruised, thin slice of Lime ain't the way to serve a Warner Edwards!! On the whole, a strong 9/10!!
