We called to book a table for lunch on Easter Sunday morning for a late lunch with my disabled Mother and Father. They couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. They reserved a table for us outside with plenty of room for the wheelchair. The food was excellent and the service too. A really lovely afternoon and will definitely visit again.

Situated at the head of the river lee navigation in Hertford, The Old Barge pub makes an excellent destination for cyclists, walkers and river users. A proper family (Children welcome until 7pm)local pub in a riverside setting with a beer garden, small ca
Won't be back - 2 pints of San Miguel, 1 pint of Carling & 1 Lemonade with a dash of Lime £20.80, shocking.Hi Nina,We donât actually sell Carling Iâm afraid. The round you describe would be £17.45 for similar drinks in this particular pub. Our prices are on par with our surroundings and our competitors. Maybe you have the wrong pub?

The College Arms is a great place to relax and unwind whether it's just for a drink in the bar or a meal from our fantastic fresh, seasonal menu. We have a large rear garden and are dog and child friendly.
Just been for lunch and and it was not good and I won't be going back.I had the cod cheeks for a starter which had no seasoning, my husband had a salmon salad which was equally disappointing. My main of hake with mussles were gritty, the asparagus was not al dente but hard and the fish was too salted. The pie seemed to come with bistro gravy, hardly top quality food.Should have complained and we didn't. Hello BluePurrl,I am sorry to hear your experience with us did not meet your expectations. Wherever possible we work with local and artisan suppliers. We aim to provide our customers with sustainable sourced fish and traditionally raised meat. Our suppliers are reputable and share our commitment to fresh, good quality seasonal ingredients. Our chefs work hard to create and execute our menus, using these core values.Had we been aware of your meals being unsatisfactory, we would of happily dealt with your complain in house. I hope you will give us the benefit of the doubt and try us again. Kind regards,Natalie

A welcoming family-run country pub with good food and friendly staff. Extensive outdoor seating with a children's play area makes this a great venue for family dining. Food available all day at weekends.
Galley Hall is a lovely place, very comfortable with a great garden and patio area. The childrenâs play area was a hit with my 3yr old granddaughter. The staff extremely friendly. But sorry we didnât rate the food, we all had a roast dinner, which was a bit like school dinners. My granddaughter had sausage, chips and peas, which she said she didnât like, thinking she was being fussy we tried it and must admit, it wasnât very pleasant, sausage was cold and chips under cooked, we should have sent it back.We would go again but just for a drink and on a lovely evening to sit on the patio.

Arrived early on a Sunday evening. Difficult to get to the bar as blocked by sozzled âregularsâ. Had to order our drinks through them and have our beers passed over their heads. Would have been nice for someone to step aside.hi Gareth, thank you for your review, sorry you felt this way about your visit, no one has ever called the millstream hertford clicky if anything the opposite, sorry again on this occasion you were made to feel this way, we do get very busy on sundays and we are only a little pub that lacks space. we hope to see you again kind regards

Visited this cafe for the first time today and chose it based on the reviews and I wasnât disappointed. We both had a sandwich, and they are absolutely huge. Very thickly cut fresh bread and lots of filling. We also both had a coffee and the bill came to £7.30. Excellent value.

We often visit the FB sometimes for drinks in the lovely, relaxing, adult friendly garden and often eat. Recently had a lovely, family sunday lunch and was looked after by Nada who always has time for a chat. Great service and food from a professional, friendly team.

Lussmanns is Hertford's busiest independent restaurant. Since opening in 2004, they have really come to understand our locals and what they want from their restaurant. Centrally located in the historic 'Egyptian House' (for Da Vinci Code fans, this was ru

The Candlestick Freehouse and Restaurant - A traditional Pub renowned for excellent food and a superb wine list, is located in the picturesque hamlet of West End near Essendon in Hertfordshire. Being located in such a peaceful setting allows for a relaxin
Went for a family meal having previously enjoyed the food at The Candlestick. Sadly the day we visited the chef must have been having an off day. The fish and chips were soggy and greasy, the peas dry and shrivelled. The veggie lasagne was heavy and uninspiring. It's always embarrassing leaving food on the plate, but it was just so hard to finish such a disappointing meal. I felt bad recommending it. I know The Candlestick can do much better.
