My family and I have been using Hampsons for nearly 2 years now since moving back to Cornwall. The pasties that they make are just perfection you can order different fillings in the morning and have them ready for lunch time. The fillings are very genorous and very tasty. The pastry is the best around and is homemade that day which you can buy from them if you ask nicely!!. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming always serviced with a smile and jolly chat. I would recommend everyone try them once before buying from other pasty shops around as you wont be disappointed.

Amazing, great food, great happy staff, amazing views even when it's grey and raining outside. Food is seriously bloody tasty even down to the side salad and the home made coleslaw, every single element got eaten. Clean plates all round. 10/10

Amazingly friendly manor with the most wonderful food served for both the afternoon tea and evening buffet. What a glorious venue to have a family and friends wedding. The staff couldnât have done anymore for us as they catered for every guest individually. In our party there were gluten and dairy intolerances along with vegan guests, each of which was presented with a individual serving of varied components of the available choices. You made a day filled with memories which we will treasure for a long time. Thank you for making our daughter and son-in-laws day such a special occasion.Thank you for taking the time to provide such a lovely review. I know the staff here will be delighted to read that the time, planning and preparation they put into it all was appreciated so much. Certainly the range of allergies & special diets was a little more challenging than we normally see together for 1 event but we are all so delighted that everything suited everyone. Thank you again for sharing your comments.

A friendly cottage style pub, serving fine ale and excellent pub food with beautiful finishing touches.
A wet day last week found us scurrying around for somewhere to have lunch. Having eaten there on a visit just over a year ago, I suggested the Cornish Arms to my partner. Wet and not a little bedraggled, the welcome received from the landlady was fulsome. To eat we settled for Briam which was delicious. Thank you to all involved.

Out with friends , we had a lovely evening , the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very very tasty and portions were of a good size My only slight criticism would be the drink prices , believe we were charged around £4.50 a pint But overall we had a pleasant experince and we all would mostly certainly return

What has happened to your food? The last couple of take aways we have had from you have been dripping in grease, with soggy chips! The cardboard take away container couldn't hold the amount of grease coming from my food, it went straight through and the excess grease congealed on my plate, not at all appetizing :(

We round this through recommendations on a Hayle Facebook page, absolute gem food was amazing! We come to Hayle every year on our holidays and will definitely be back next year. I had the lasagne & my partner had the Cajun chicken burger. Both to die for and massive portions. Couldnât finish mine. Staff are lovely. Thanks Turnpike Inn

Called for breakfast before travelling home, a pre-made sign on the door says they will be opening slightly later than normal as they are setting up an event. On looking through the window the place looked deserted, hey-ho off to Asda!We think you must have gone to our old location- because this wasnât us. We have submitted the address change to trip advisor because we donât want other customers thinking the same. We certainly are open - now on Penpol Terrace. Sorry we couldnât make you one of our breakfasts before you journeyed home. Seems rather harsh to leave a one star review for food you havenât eaten doesnât it? We truly pride ourselves on our service and food. Duckies.

The pub has now reopened after a refurbishment and is under new management. Food is now available every evening and at lunch times on weekends with fantastic homemade roasts every Sunday. We serve traditional homemade pub meals! The Inn currently offers t
Came here for dinner a few nights ago with my Aunt, Uncle, partner and our 3 youngest children and had a lovely meal â tasty well presented food, good value and great service.Parking is available in car park outside and you can reserve tables in advance (which we did). To start we shared some nachos which came with salsa and sour cream (they were slightly unusual as they appeared to be baked rather than fried and were softer than I was expecting with a dusting of paprika). For our mains two of my children opted for the penne with chicken and bacon, my Aunt had a pie and the rest of us had burgers (which were really juicy, meaty and well cooked) and were complimented by salad garnish and the best chips Iâve ever had (I donât normally like chips but these were excellent!). The desserts did not disappoint either â in particular the chocolate brownie and also the Eton Mess (which was yummy!).A big thumbs up from us!

Tucked away in the old quarter of Penzance, The Cornish Barn is a rustic restaurant, bar and smokehouse in Penzance serving a wholesome menu with a focus on fresh Cornish produce â all helped along by craft beers and wines from local independent vineyards
We had drinks here one night, and came back the next night for dinner. We loved the warm, cosy decor, good choice of drinks and pretty good food. The only thing that wasnât great was the service; a lot of errors both times, the staff were friendly but lacked professionalism. They forgot to bring menus and to seat us in the restaurant until well after the reservation time, and every drinks order was messed up. All in all, however, we forgave the slapdash service because the ambiance and food made up for it. We would go again if we were in the area.Good evening honeyHenleyonThames,Thank you for your time writing this review.I am happy to hear that you loved the atmosphere of the Restaurant, and I will be sure to pass on your comments about the food on to the kitchen.I am sorry that the service was not to the standards that you wanted. Please feel free to contact the management team via phone or by emailing us at [email protected] to provide some extra information, so that we can work to insure that this does not happen again. We appreciate all feedback to help our eccentric charmed slice of Penzance grow.Kind RegardsRyanDuty manager
