Likes:+ Large, spacious and comfortable restaurant tables and chairs+ Attentive and friendly staff+ Terrace area+ Extensive menu (breakfast and lunch, desserts etc)+ Complimentary wi-fi+ Interesting venue with a brush museum and shop+ Conveniently sited near the A303 Mere exitDislikes:- Hardly anything vegan; some vegetarian options- A relatively small mixed bean salad at £9 was a little dear- The french fries had undergone some unusual and transformational cooking process that rendered them pretty inedible (maybe refried multiple times?)Hi! Thank you for Visiting Visit Hillbrush, we are glad you found us an interesting venue.Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it and will take it on board when we are designing our new menu's.- The team at Visit Hillbrush

We went here for lunch. What a view of Gold Hill. The food was great and very very reasonable towards our East Coast USA prices. It is small inside but quant. Six of us ate for 79 british pounds, lunch, dessert, and drinks. It is located right on top of GoldHill and close to many stores and sites. Would definately go the next time we are in England.

The breakfast was delicious, service was great & friendly and the pub/restaurant delightful. All at an extremely good price. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again.

My husband and i went to this restaurant last night for a lovely meal. We sat on the sofa in the bar area with a drink, with nuts and olives given to us while we waited for our table. We placed our dinner order while we waited. We were then shown to our table, where we had a lovely view of the garden. They had in the restaurant The Rotary Club, who we could hear telling jokes which amused us while we ate dessert.Had a lovely time. Dinner was lovely as always and plenty of it.Will be back again.Dear stephaniejayne5 Many thanks for choosing La Fleur de lys for your Husbands Birthday, Mary & I are very pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your evening with us & the Rotary Jokes, Look Forward to seeing you again .Kindest RegardsDavid & Mary

A hidden gem on the outskirts of Gillingham, Dorset, Thorngrove Garden Centre has embarked on an exciting and inspiring programme of regeneration, which includes a new Secret Garden Café, a revamped shop providing unique gifting ideas and space for a seri
A great place for tea/coffee and amazingly delicious cakes. I enjoy sitting outside in the sheltered courtyard nibbling at a range of gourmet shortbreads or yummy cake while puzzling out a crossword. Very friendly staff and of course, an even bigger bonus, thereâs the mass of plants and ideas for your garden.

Set in a delightfully converted 17c farmhouse overlooking Hardy's Blackmore Vale and in 15 acres of its own meadow and woodland. Log fires in winter and a panoramic terrace for summer eating. Our team of chefs produce wonderful meals from fresh local and i
.................but management and a capable chef are basic requirements. The weather was warm, so we had booked a table for lunch at the Coppleridge as they were able to offer us an outside table on their terrace. However, on arrival we were shown to an indoor table in a stuufy little room. We explained to the waitress that we had booked an outdoor table (and the waiting staff as a whole were very willing) and, after much huffing and puffing, a table was laid for us on the terrace. One of our party had ordered pork and, when it arrived swimming in gravy, there was none of the promised crackling or apple sauce. The waitress apologised, explaining that they had a new chef. Heavens above, if a chef can't put a roast lunch together he shouldn't be in the kitchen!A little later one of the puddings arrived with chocolate ice cream instead of the ordered mango and ginger ice cream. The waitress took it away and returned with scoops of mango and ginger ice cream dumped into the remains of the chocolate ice cream. High standards! It is perhaps petty to mention that the third guest's cup of coffee arrived after the first two guests' cups had been finished.A disappointing lunch, but at least Autumn is approaching and we won't have to look for somewhere to eat with an outside table for the next six months or more!

Café Newt was established just over two years ago to provide the local community with somewhere else to eat and drink with a difference on the Wyke side of Gillingham, Dorset. The added attraction is a showroom of rare and exclusive bikes to view or even
We have been past this several times a day and about time we went in.Park round the back and that takes you in via the gardens which are lovely. There is plenty of room to sit inside and out.The menu is actually very good, plenty of selection for adults and children alike. we went on a Saturday afternoon and I thought it would be packed. It was busy but not too packed so we sat outside.Place your order and by the time you have had a quick look at the bikes it has arrived. Children's meal very good and a nice size, adult largest breakfast totally superb. The value, portion size, seating and views are great, the staff even better, polite, chatty and delivered the goods. We will be back.

Visited with my husband and grandson for breakfast. The service was excellent as was the food. It was well presented and cooked well. They serve smaller appetite breakfasts and catered for me well as I am a gluten intolerant veggie. Our 6 year grandson had the childâs breakfast which was just the right size. Lovely friendly atmosphere.Best to reserve a table for breakfast at the weekend

17th Century Coach House under new ownership Committed to providing a casual relaxed dining environment, good home cooked food using quality ingredients and great value for money. We can accommodate larger bookings.
Although The Kings Arms has changed ownership - don't panic nothing has changed. Still an excellent menu, still well prepared and delicious meals, still the lovely staff.Tested our favourite pub again tonight and I can sleep again at night. Other than Rabbie Burns missing from the wall in the main restaurant - everything is the same. Phew x
