I've been here quite a few times for food or just a coffee and it's been exceptional everytime. Plenty of fantastic, mostly vegan food to choose from in a perfect location right in the city centre. The only criticism is the hours, 6pm close Mon-Thurs, 8pm Fri-Sat and 5pm Sun. I don't understand why they close so early as often I would rather eat later than 6pm mid week and 5pm on a Sunday. I took my entire 6 person flat here at 7pm the other day only to find it was closed. I'd really really recommend the management consider opening until later as they must be missing out on so much business AND opportunities to serve up ethically sound food!Hi Jake, Thank you so much for the great review, we really appreciate it.We've been in the city centre for over 6 years now and have tried different opening times and have found the hours we open at the moment are the only viable ones unfortunately. We would love to be open late every night and will definitely look at that in the future but for now we can only open later on Friday and Saturday. Thanks again for the review, hope to see you again soon :)

Dobson & Parnell offers casual fine dining on Newcastle's vibrant quayside. The restaurant offers an excellent value lunch with a range of sharing plates and snacks as well as set and a la carte menus in the evening and Sunday roasts on Sundays. A 5 and 7
We had an excellent Sunday lunch for 5 with superb standard of beef and pork and an interesting gnocchi choice. The fresh green veg and roast were well prepared and presented. There was a good choice of starters and deserts to balance the meal. Although there was a wait between courses it was not an issue for a relaxed lunch and the staff were all friendly and professional. A plus was the seating using padded chairs with arm rests making a more relaxed time. Parking very near was easy on the Sunday. Definitely will go back next time we are in Newcastle. Many thanks for your review of Dobson and Parnell; we are delighted you had an enjoyable meal experience with us.We hope to see you at Dobson and Parnell again in the near future.

At Starks it's all about serving fresh, tasty food using the best ingredients. During the day we serve brunch from 10 - 3pm and a selection of cakes until 5pm. In the evening we set the tables, light the candles and offer a vibrant, seasonal dinner menu.
Every now and again you come across a place where they just got things right and Starks Kitchen is one of those places. The decor is simple, modern, clean and bright with white walls, tasteful prints and a mix of banquette seating and chairs. Two of us went for the veggie Sunday roast while the third went for beef. Dinner took a little way to arrive but was great when it did. I'm not a veggie, but the nut roast was delicious, my wife enjoyed the beef which was tender and cooked just pink. The plates arrived with a good Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, a quenelle of mashed potato, a quenelle of carrot & swede and of course gravy. A bowl of french beans, cabbage and some mange tout came out for the table plus side of cauliflower cheese.Everything was great, really great. The veg was perfectly cooked and tasty. If I was going to be really picky, the gravy was slightly over seasoned but hey, I don't use a lot of salt!I went for the cheese as a pudding, an excellent cheddar and a soft blue, while my daughter went for the pecan pie.The meal was finished off with a couple of good coffees. We booked for a late Sunday lunch via Open Table on the same day which worked well. All round, a really good experience and I thought, good value.

At Miller & Carter we know a thing or two about steak. In fact, we could say that we're one of the best steakhouses in Newcastle. But we'd rather leave that to your judgement.Because once you've tasted our hand-cut, 30-day aged British steaks you'll soon
My partner and I had a delicious meal here. Very welcoming staff from beginning to end. We had a lovely server (Rebecca i think her name was) she was so friendly and nothing was any bother to her. Iâm coeliac so itâs fantastic for me as I can totally relax and eat with confidence as they have a gluten free menu and accredited by the coeliac society. The chicken was delicious and love the onion thing and the chips, the crepe brûlée is amazing. My partner had rib eye steak and he said it was great. It was very busy as it was a Friday night but we didnât have to wait long for our food. Great atmosphere and lovely place and super friendly staff. Highly recommend Good evening, Thank you for leaving us such a glowing review! It's great to see that the team, especially Rebecca provided such great service to you and your partner and that you found our gluten-free menu to be accommodating to your needs. We will pass along your kind words to our team! Many thanks, we hope to see you again soon, Miller and Carter Newcastle

Thankyou Bonbar for a delicious afternoon tea and for making a special occasion even more special. We visited here last Saturday to celebrate our sisters "big" birthday and were not disappointed. The staff were brilliant, friendly and attentive without being overpowering. The afternoon tea was perfectly presented with plenty of choice and the gluten free tea requested was also pronounced delicious ( which is not always the case in most places we have been) so thankyou for that. The prosecco went down a treat too and the teapots were readily refilled on request. This was a perfect afternoon with a lovely atmosphere and I would have no hesitation in saying it was the best afternoon tea we have had, and we have had a few!! Thankyou Bonbar and staff it was fab!

a lovely place to stay , our room was amazing. fresh and clean. and you could see that detail was taken with every little task.the housekeeper please praise and her team as our needs were met at every level. when people save up to go away and spend cash that has been put away for a treat and you get the results that you wanted then working for this treat all year round is so worth it. the poached eggs oh my gosh are cooked to perfection. the tea served is not just a pot of tea it is a reward to the mouth. try the kippers with your poached eggs, if that does not take your fancy then try the poached eggs with just toast. the butter adds delight to the toast, thank you to all members of staff. for everything. we have enjoyed getting spoiled. we now return back to work but know when we start saving up again for a treat this place Eslington Villa will be what we aim for on our next holliday. as we drive back to Manchester we take fond memories and Genuine smiles with us. thank you again to everyone. Thank you to everyone .Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again soon :0)

We were a group of ten friends whom I had invited to celebrate our Golden Wedding. My wife and I had been before with my daughter's family and really enjoyed it.This occasion was also excellent. We had a table to ourselves so it felt quite special. Drink orders were taken quickly and whilst the wine was served quickly the beers weren't. Apparently the keg needed changing but I did think we could have been informed earlier as there was quite a delay. I had to chase up the non delivery which wasn't good. We had several bottles of an excellent merlot plus some excellent real ale.The food on the other hand was excellent. The chef's table was groaning with food and had something for every taste. I particularly enjoyed the seafood. Most of us felt full even before ordering our main courses. A wide variety of main courses were chosen from the belly pork, roast dinner to the burger. All were prenounced delicious and were all reasonable sized portions.Desserts were also excellent and a reasonable choice. Coffee followed and again there was a good choice. The service apart from the beers was very well paced and served in a friendly professional manner. We will certainly return as the lunch felt special and was in my view excellent value for the quality of the food and service provided.Dear NIRS3,Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review for us.Firstly you have my apologies for the delay in the beers being served to your table this should not have happened and thank you for your patience. I'm glad you enjoyed all our food offerings and felt you had great value with the meal, I will pass on to our team how much you enjoyed their professional service also.We hope to see you again very soon.Kind regardsJohnathan StoreyBar & Brasserie Manager
