Been meaning to try this place for some time finally got here, but wish I hadn't. Looked at the food and crossed that straight off the to do list, just basic pub grub with very high prices. Looked at the real ales but nothing special all I had was an HSB And the wife a coffee 6.50 rediculous price in sure he got it wrong , dearer here than the red lion that has a much better menu and beer option. The guy who served was polite and well dressed that's about the only good thing I found here.I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with our menu choices or the Specials board. It certainly isn't basic, but we all have different taste buds and opinions!!

My wife and I visited 141 for lunch on the recommendation of our Granddaughter. The quality for food and the level of service and engagement was very impressive. Our waitress âShawâ was charming. Fareham College are certainly providing high level training. We are returning with friends in June.

At The Buccaneer Harvester in Fareham food is fresh, full of flavour and just how you like it. Choose your tasty grill, sauce and side at our restaurant and we'll get cooking - while you head off to the famous Harvester salad bar to grab as much crisp, fr
I do not usually go to chains (unless desperate!) I took my hosts here as a thank you meal as it was walking distance from their house. We had not booked (my fault) and we had to wait a short while. The poor floor manager (who was very nice) seemed to be new to this branch and a member of staff had to show him how the table plan worked. The menu is quite varied, but like any British eatery I nearly feint at the prices! (I am used to £5 for a three course menu del dia!) I had the two courses for £13 and it was OK. Although I have a pet HATE of chunky chips, especially when they are pale and not crisp. I was offered Sweet Potato chips, but the waitress thought they would still be chunky so I didn't order them. But wished I had â I didn't eat my normal ones in the end as as usual they are undercooked and unpleasant. Becca our waitress could not have been more pleasant and professional. The ribs and chicken combo was actually very good, but the special 'gravy' tasted out of a packet and it was left untouched too. The salad from the salad bar was fresh, crisp and cold. I was very impressed by the Harvester own brand BBQ sauce on the table. Sadly even though a mid-week evening, the place was rammed to the rafters, noisy, over hot in the restaurant. If I had known there was air con as someone else points out I would have headed for it despite the noise! Sadly we were near the bar and there were two builder boys having their dinner and they were loud and coarse. I stand unchanged that chain restaurants are not for me.Hi Susan S, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit. Your comments help to improve our service and quality. Many thanks

Great fresh food cooked lovingly by our in house team, please call for reservations.
Managed to find a space amongst the 5 available at the rear of the pub. There is ample parking further along at the community centre. There is an entrance from the car park through an original alleyway, passed the beer garden, kitchen, eating area, snug and eventually into the small traditional bar area.Food menu is displayed on a chalkboard by the bar and is quite extensive for the size of the hostelry. This is a great example of a village pub with a jovial atmosphere from the locals. Bowls of freshly cooked roast potatoes circulated through the evening to encourage more drinking. It works too.

Each time we visit the Garden Shed our expectations are exceeded. My wife, daughter and I visited on Bank Holiday Monday, I had the medium breakfast, my wife had the scrambled eggs on avocado and sourdough and my daughter made up her favourite of sausage and bacon. The food was excellent as was the service.

Modern, English brasserie, using locally sourced produce and seasonal ingredients. Fine wine and local real ale.
Stopped for an early dinner, had the Burger and thrice cooked chips, the little one had the childrenâs chicken and chips. Burger was delightful, highly recommend! The chicken wasnât your typical breaded finger, a lovely, well cooked chicken fillet with crispy, thin fries. I will be returning.

Returning again for an evening meal with family it was reassuring to see that nothing in the quality and service provided had changed. This small but very friendly restaurant never fails to maintain its overall quality with a pleasant dining environment. Nothing is too much trouble for the chef or the management and it is a pleasure to visit and enjoy the experience of being well looked after again and again

Visited after being recommended, family dinner. Excellent standard of cooking with interesting use of locally sourced products with high level of technical skill. Excellent seasoning and presentation. Excellent friendly service. This is deserving of number one slot in Fareham. So happy to find somewhere to eat at reasonable pricing that cooks food from the heart with passion and understanding of food and what to do with it. Good selection of wines and beers, menu just the right size to give variety for all and allowing the chefs to express themselves and their skills. Well done, we will be back.
