Nestled on the high street of Hurstpierpoint village, Morleys Bistro is proud to serve excellent food in comfortable relaxed restaurant atmosphere. It's the perfect place to relax with friends and family for a drink, breakfast, lunch or an evening meal.
We visited for my sons birthday. Quite busy for a Tuesday night but the service was excellent. Food was very good particularly the pork belly. Will definitely be returning and have no hesitation in recommending for a great evening. Thank you.

We had a meal at The Plough whilst staying in Pyecombe, walking the South Downs Way. Itâs more like a restaurant with drinking area rather than a pub. Having said that the service was very friendly and good. The food was good too with generous portions. My husbands steak was tender and well cooked. Good place for an evening meal.

The inglenook Long bar and sofa areas make this area a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a chat with friends any night of the week. It is a great place to pop in for a drink with a huge variety of wines, beers and spirits. For summer days and encl

Stayed here one night midweek with the intention of dining in the restaurant, quite empty for a Wednesday evening. Small menu with courteous and attentive service. My partridge portion was meagre but well-cooked with some interesting pancetta bonbons and iridescent green cauliflower. The poached pear had sold out, so pudding was on the house. A homemade slab on battenburg, a scoop of ice cream and a scattering of what looked like a spoonful of Special K breakfast cereal. Uninspiring. The room, on the other hand, was top notch.

I have eaten here twice recently, once for a Sunday lunch and again one Tuesday evening. We were really impressed by the roasts; I had the nut roast, which was delicious and the others all had pork and beef. The menu caters for everyone with a good choice of vegetarian options. The meal was beautifully presented and reasonably priced. Friendly, courteous staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We came with four friends to celebrate a special birthday. They had booked a table which would be essential as the place was packed. There is plenty of parking. We had a wonderful evening. The food drinks and service were excellent. The menu is quite large and we would recommend looking on line if possible to get an idea of what you want to eat. The portions are large. Everything was hot and there were plenty of lovely vegetables. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Stopped in Ditchling for a few days. The Green Welly is always a destination for lunch. Great pastries and always changing salads, with a glass of French Rose~. As the temperature warms up the hanging baskets in the courtyard are starting to flower and create a lovely display. We will be back. !Thank you so much for your kind comments. It was lovely to see you again and we appreciate the detour that you make to come to the Green Welly each time you are visiting the area.

The Nutmeg Tree is a Tearooms/Restaurant set in the 1930's/40's. Traditional English ,serving morning coffee, all day breakfast, lunches & afternoon tea. Has a beautiful courtyard garden. Licensed & dog friendly.
Outstanding rendition of a classic English Tea House. Decor, staff, uniforms, service, food, tea, sweets all done brilliantly. Will return for sure!
