We sometimes have supper at Fairways after a game of golf and we have yet to be disappointed. Staff are always pleasant and the menu is appropriate considering the challenges they must have with unpredictable customers. I had a pleasant hamburger which was suitably garnished. Our meal lived up to expectations.

Nice food, nice view but patchy service. The young girls serving were nice but everything seemed a bit slow. Everything was brought out in dribs and drabs and at one point we thought they had forgotten something but it was just slow in arriving. Really nice homemade soup and large portions. Had the coffee and walnut cake that didnât taste of coffee or walnuts! Would give it another visit maybe didnât get it on a good day.

We had mothers day lunch at the Strath Tavern on Sunday,I had the fish which i have had many times and this was up to the usual excellent standard. ,My wife and daughter had one of the specials on offer (roast beef and Yorkshires) also excellent. We have eaten here on numerous visits and have never been disappointed with either the quality and variety on offer Thank you very much for your comments. We very much value all of our all of our customers and appreciate the continued support we receive from both regular local residents and visitors alike. We came across this restaurant recently and went in for lunch. We were given a very friendly welcome by the staff. We decided on the two course lunch which was excellent value for money. My wife had the pate and I had the mussels- both were excellent. For the main we both had fish cake with chilli jam - again it was excellent. We will definitely visit again. Also they have a sister restaurant at the Hill of Tarvit which we will also pay a visit. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.P.S. Service was very good and staff very helpful.

Visited on Saturday 31st August with family. My meal of jumbo prawns as starter schnitzel as main and apple slices with ice cream has got to be one of the best meals I have eaten in a restaurant, couldn't fault in in any way, that coupled with excellent service, ensured it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Would certainly recommend this place

The elegant modern dining room has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Short hand-written menus change frequently, as they are based on local seasonal ingredients. A concise interesting choice ensures that each dish is prepared individually for each customer,
We have eaten at Ostlers several times and always enjoyed the food however last Fridayy we were disappointed. The Pigeon breast was not tasty, a little overcooked. The fish disk with five different fishes had two fish, the scallop and the monk fish definitely overcooked. I believe that a little 'stock taking' needs to happen and perhaps a visit to The Gamba to understand how fish should be cooked. We have eaten at the Gamba for 14 years, three times a year and have never had anything but a superb meal as we did last night. Our view is meant to be constructive!

Nice surroundings with beautiful views over the Tay. Staff were welcoming and attentive. We had the 5 course tasting menu and the first 2 courses were excellent.Beautifully presented and full of flavour. Thereafter the standard deteriorated with wish course being rather tasteless and minute in size. The pork main was for us over cooked and again on the small size. Sweet was OK. On the whole disappointing for the standard of food we were expecting, and certainly not value for money. We would not return
