Find out what British restaurants to try in Cowes. Cowes (/kaʊz/) is an English seaport town and civil parish on the Isle of Wight. Cowes is located on the west bank of the estuary of the River Medina, facing the smaller town of East Cowes on the east bank. The two towns are linked by the Cowes Floating Bridge, a chain ferry.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left Moocow was brilliant. Unlike many establishments Moocow has an excellent front of house team. We were looked after by Jonny, Sam and Joe who were simply fab. Good food was served and the garden a delight.

We were greeted by a very friendly and funny barman. We ordered dinner, which was delicious, and were looked after by a lovely waitress. We didnât need pudding but they were too tempting to resist! Am glad we didnât resist as they too were delicious. The landlord chatted to us and recommended a few places to visit. Overall an excellent evening. Thank you!

The Lifeboat stands proudly over East Cowes Marina, which is a huge favourite of visiting yachtsmen in the summer, but also a family-friendly home-from-home for locals too. In the summer, our large outside decking area offers one of the best riverside din
Sadly I have to say that this establishment was somewhat of an anti climax. Great setting with views across the river, nice selection of drinks. However the big let down is with the food.We both ordered the Char Grilled Locally Made Burgers. The presentation was good, fries were OK but the biggest disappointment was with the Burger - OK it may have once been Char Grilled. But our Burgers were without doubt reheated - in a microwave possible? When your paying Higher end prices you don't expect to receive Wetherspoons grade of Food. You really do need to up your Game and stop the misleading descriptions.

The amazing Grade II listed building houses Jolliffes Eatery of Cowes; a venue where you can enjoy great breakfasts, light lunches or champagne cream teas, Jolliffes is also the perfect place to grab a coffee and relax in this historic setting in the hear
Popped in here whilst visiting Cowes during our holiday. The menu is nothing extra ordinary, mostly consisting of normal Café fair (my favorite), but the difference in our experience is that it is cooked and presented wonderfully.I had a burger, my Wife some battered fish. Both were extremely tasty and at a very reasonable cost. The service too was excellent, very helpful staff and freshly cooked food arriving in a timely fashion. Our best meal of the holiday we reckon. Will definitely go back when next on the island.

Long established, family run business, set menu, a la carte and catch of the day, fresh local seafood, steak/meat dishes, vegetarian options, special dietary needs catered for wherever possible
Had a simply marvellous meal, this is one of the best fish restaurants we have visited. The young staff were excellent, attentive but 'low key'. Recommend Murray's to anyone.

It is a restaurant in it's own right , without the hotel - a majority of bookings are from locals & non-residents
After two excellent meals elsewhere in Cowes, I wasnât expecting anything special in a hotel restaurant, but we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the friendly and efficient service that brought it to us. My ham hock terrine starter and seafood pasta main were each tasty, well cooked and a generous portion. Prices are reasonable. A good dining experience.Dear NicholasThank you so much for your comments we really appreciate them. We are so glade you enjoyed your experience with us at the New Holmwood Hotel in our restaurant. I will pass your remarks onto our team and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.Best regardsJulian

An intimate restaurant tucked away in the old town of Cowes.
Tiny but tremendous! A real family business with all the care youâd expect. Limited menu but offers something for everyone. The best meal Iâve ever enjoyed and we eat out a lot! Lovely relaxed pace as no turning of tables every 2 hours. Extensive wine list, lovely atmosphere, fabulous food, small but perfectly formed. A must if in Cowes!

Mojac's is open 5 evenings a week for dinner (Tues-Sat) and will open for lunch for parties of 6 or more with 24 hours' notice. We do not cater for children and do not allow under 10's after 7pm. Mojac's Restaurant and Bar aims to provide all customers wi
Guilty as charged with loving the food and service at Mojac's, the duck, chicken, veggie dishes, and beef pastry were all terrific and don't miss the "nibbles" or the ice cream for dessert. Luckily we had to walk to and from the restaurant to where we were staying on the Isle or we couldn't/wouldn't have eaten so much - but it was just so good. The owner and staff are very attentive and we always were able to reserve and sit at the table in the window so could not have enjoyed our evenings out more. Was a high point of our stay.
