The newly opened Garden Kitchen is a 270sq m stone built tea room, farm shop and lecture facility. The building has been designed sympathetically to blend in with the nursery, with old tools and gardening memorabilia hanging off the walls and a grand ston
Pros - Lovely setting & venue, clean, modern and yet very rustic. Well presented food.Cons - Somewhat tasteless food, extremely slow service (seemingly if your not a regular). Great disparities in food temperatures mine was warm and seemingly freshly cooked, whilst the wifeâs was cold like had been out for an age.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed our setting & food presentation. As you were probably aware we had a very unexpected rush at lunchtime yesterday meaning the wait was longer than usual. We used to have till service rather than table service however this was swapped back due to its unpopularity. I have passed your comments onto higher management & the kitchen team, however if you wish to discuss this further with them please feel free to contact us at [email protected] regards,Deborah O'Reilly

After yet another great day looking around Clitheroe, we decided to finish the day off by having our tea at the Edisford Bridge Hotel. And very nice it was too. My wife ordered roast beef, hot gravy, warm baguette with salad. I ordered creamy Lancashire cheese with onion, salad and chutney. We shared a bowl of chips and also went 50/50 with our meals. We each had half of the other's baguette. Beautiful!!Serendipity seemed to be guiding our hands yesterday! No matter what we thought of seemed to have a surprise in the tail! We had a really splendid day after taking the nuclear option of hitting Clitheroe, unable to meat up wiv our besties, who turned out to be busy! The pub is a lovely, country-type building. It's olde worlde but it's also bright and clean. We've tried the main meals before and reviewed them. Yesterday we tried the sandwich menu and were definitely not disappointed. The range of beers, including zero alcohol, is good.Prices are acceptable and there is ample parking.

Bit delayed writing this review. We held a 70th birthday party in the orchard room for 13 adults and 5 young children. From start to finish, the service, food in fact everything was excellent. They were fantastic with the children. Nothing was too much trouble.Subsequently went to the oyster evening. Tried oysters for the first time, with a glass of fizz, they were ok. Afterwards we went into the restaurant and off the specials we all had the grouse. Reasonable price and it was lock the plate delicious. This is my favourite place, love itThank you so much for this, glad you enjoyed the birthday party and indeed the Friday night festival, I've still got a puncture wound in my hand from opening a Colchester oyster. Glad you enjoyed the grouse too, more in next weekI hope. Thanks again. Regards Cb

Donât be put off by the decor, the staff are brilliant. The menu is extraordinary and the food is wonderful. We went there for the first time yesterday and were a bit worried when we went in, it looks just a bit tired on first view. But we were so welcomed by the friendly staff that we felt at home straightaway. The food, all prepared on site, was just wonderful. The risotto was superb and the chicken, ham hock and leek pie was excellent. Very reasonable prices completed a great night. Despite it being forty miles away we will be going back.Highly recommended.

We called in on a wet and windy Monday lunchtime. We decided both to have the soup, this was mushroom and just a little thin for us but tasted nice.I went for the king prawn curry, the curry sauce was nice but just not impressed being served frozen king prawns, much prefer fresh. My wife went for the burger and really enjoyed it.Service was very good.

Enjoyed lunch with a friend. Started with the asparagus wrapped in ham and served with a crispy egg - delicious. Main course was duck breast with dauphinoise potatoes and gorgeous creamy cabbage with bacon. Duck was slightly over-cooked for my taste, but still very good. Couldn't manage dessert. Lovely spot for lunch. Haven't been for a while, it was good to return.

Staff brilliant Food amazing Business... the best Just try it.... we go so many times they will be shocked if we order anything else than the Meat pie but the menu has such a good choice anyway. A Greek style restaurant in the heart of Clitheroe. A family Run business in the Beautiful Swan Courtyard. Serving Greek Style food, with traditional flavors. Bringing a Mediterranean twist to the Ribble valley! We have a range of dishes, serving lunch an
Letâs start with the food. Tasty, well cooked and delicious. Reasonable prices. But sadly overshadowed by the waitress staff. Waitresses.. disinterested and there to socialise not serve people. Completely unprofessional conversations in front of customers. I know which one if you slept at a boys house on Saturday, who drank too much at the weekend and who wants to dump their boyfriend. On their phones messing about. Not idea when your out for a meal with your partner. The food would have been a 5 but I cannot award a 5 With the service. Hence the 4. The chef was friendly and polite.Thank you for taking the time to review us, we sincerely apologise that the service was not up to the standards we hold ourselves to. As the chef and owner i am glad you enjoyed the food but massively disappointed in our staff, we can assure you that we will be dealing with the situation. If it would be possible for you to contact me by email so we can rectify the situation. Our email is [email protected] we hope to hear from you soon.
