From the very friendly accommodating staff to the prompt service, this venue provided my wife and I with a superb meal. My wife had the curry and was very impressed and I had probably the best fish and chips with mushy peas I have ever had.

The Counting House is a venue to relax, enjoy a drink, and share some good food with friends. A venue that, despite its fresh appearance, already feels like home.
WonderfulVery impressed. 150 gins to choose from and some unusual cocktails. Wasnât expecting much from the food but it was really really good. Service was great and a we had a fantastic evening. A little noisy for our taste but then again it was a busy Saturday night and we are probably not the normal age bracket (60+) for here but hey you only live once. Again the food was exceptional and well worth the money.Hi HinckleynosherThank you for your recent review, its great to read that you have had a wonderful time with us. All our food if freshly prepared and our skilled chefs have a real passion for good quality food, I have passed your review to them so that they can see they are pleasing our customers. Friday and Saturday nights do get lively perhaps you could pop in and see us in the week as its a completely different atmosphere to the weekends. We hope to see you again soon, Culinary regards Richard

Read good reviews about Papas so decided to try it. We didnt book a table we just walked in. Didnât wait long for a table around 10 minutes. There was 6 of us, seated in the ballroom. I was absolutely freezing!! The table was bare except for cutlery and a serviette each. We ordered tea and had to ask for a teaspoon and some hot water. I ordered scampi and to be fair we didnât really wait long for food. When it came my chips and scampi were lukewarm at best. My husband said his chips werenât very warm either but his fish was. Staff were ok but no one asked if the food was ok and no one asked if we wanted dessert, more drinks etc. Wouldnât visit again, I definitely donât think our visit lived up to the hype!

Cellar Bar that serves food, along with Sky TV, 7 Screens to view all the sports and Pool Tables for your enjoyment.
Went for a Sunday lunch and was very impressed. Not the smartest bar in town but great location on sea front. Staff helpful and friendly. Efficient too. The Sunday lunch is really good and beef, lamb , pork and chicken available on two different sizes. Also possible to mix meats and have 2 different kinds. Lots of fresh veg and great roast potatoes. Great quality. Great value.

This is a joyful experience walk through the door and your back in the thirties, itâs a lace in the past a pleasure before the food is even thought about. Then fish and chips pies and chips freshly cooked well cooked served by delightful ladies. Cannot rate any higher than excellent.

As we were only visiting cleethorpes for a short time we had very little idea about the location and what kind of food establishments would be available. I have to say that we fell lucky when first choice of restaurant was full as I canât believe it could have bettered our experience at Relish. I m afraid in some respects we were those awkward customers. On being shown to our table, window seat (usually considered a prime spot) we asked to be moved as one of our group had a hip problem which made the higher seats an issue. No problem we were moved. Only 2 of the 4 of us had starters ( in my case this was a good call as couldnât manage all my linguini). I tasted my husbands pork starter which was delicious our friend said the pigeon starter was great. Two of us had the linguini seafood as a main - I donât know how you get such a âseafoodâ taste into such a delicate sauce but they did.All in all a great experience if/when we return to cleethorpes Iâm sure we return to relish. Thank you for a wonderful meal

Figs is our small but exclusive restaurant situated in the heart of Cleethorpes. In addition to our menu we also offer daily fish specials which we have become renowned for.We are also great for celebrating a special occasion or company dinner and can cate
We had the themed afternoon tea. It included two drinks -prosecco/small beer/juice on arrival and tea/coffee later. The menu was available online and whilst the food was explained as it was delivered, a menu was not given to us at the table. Fortunately, I was already aware it was £22.95 per head.A cake stand of interesting, hot savoury items arrived first -asian noodles in NY style card boxes, watermelon and feta salad and chicken tikka. It was all well presented, good quality and very tasty. Portions were on the small side. The cheesy chips and fish sandwich were brought later. The fish sandwich was a properly cooked battered fillet which was hot and tasty. The cheesy chips were average. It was good to have a varied savoury selection which were served hot, rather than the usual finger sandwiches.Tea/coffee were offered later. The 3 sweets included a scone with jam and cream, a chocolatey dessert in a shot glass and an ice-cream in small cone with strawberry sauce. The ice cream was welcome on a hot day but appeared to be standard vanilla with squirty sauce. The staff were helpful and friendly. The decor is classic and they have kept the bowed windows at the front. Note -there is no aircon.I felt the price was a little on the high side so would not consider it excellent value for money. However, I did appreciate the 'different' theme and the savoury food being hot and felt other aspects -menu, service, etc to be 'excellent'. Overall, I would recommend the 'tea' for a special occasion.
