We pride ourselves on providing a great dining experience, with fresh foods made in house, quality real ales, handpicked wines and a welcoming atmosphere
I wrote a review after our first meal here a couple of years ago. I was impressed with the food then and have been back on many occasions now - the food and general ambience is consistently good. This is not pub grub. Eating at the Draycott Arms is dining out - really tasty, home-cooked food which is beautifully presented. As if that wasn't enough, they have good real ales and tasty wines. We'll just keep on returning!Thank you for your kind comments. Customers returning again and again is one of the biggest compliments we could have so we look forward to your next visit!

The waitress with red hair served my food today and dropped an entire lasagna meal all over a light brown bag. There wasnât even an apology- she just very embarrassingly ran back into the kitchen! I will not be coming here again and it certainly ruined my experience and I will be telling people. Not to even apologise for the £40 bag damaged I think is very rude and unprofessional! To note she didnât even return to help me clean the bag up and left the lasagna all over the chairs which wasnât pleasant whilst eating! This is terrible customer service with no compensation for the food given afterwards! Can I just add that daisy came over and made sure it was okay after she saw the shambles of the other womanâs mess she left!

Family run Country restaurant. Food served:- Monday - Tuesday 6-9pm Wednesday - Saturday 12-2pm, 6 - 9pm, Sunday 12-8pm.
Tonight was our second visit to The Ship Inn. We had starters of black pudding with delicious, excellent quality bacon, egg and peppercorn sauce (first time I have tried black pudding) also delicious homecooked chicken strips.main courses were plaice, fries and peas -nicely cooked and lamb and mint burger topped with bacon and cheese (maybe a feta, olive, sundried tomato topping would be nice as an alternative?) However the burger was delish, home cooked Chips lovely. Hubby had the Baileys and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert.....I was allowed to taste ONE spoonful...I can see why he wanted it all for himself..... absolutely outstandingly delicious! The 2 ladies who were waitressing were very kind, helpful, sociable and professional. This place is a local gem and really deserves to be supported.

Welcome to The Royal Oak at Dilhorne. Situated in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorland countryside, this family owned freehouse pub and restaurant offers a wide choice of homemade food and real ale at great prices. A 2 course meal deal (starter and main o
The Royal Oak is clearly popular and they seem to have maximised the cover numbers within this extended village pub. Fine dining it isnt, but, that apart, it does what it sets out to do very well. We experienced some poetic licence with regard to "Steak weight" and with the degree of 'rarity' requested. However, nothing was un-enjoyable and given the price structurte no reason for us to complain. Service was prompt and courteous albeit sometimes 'curt'. Would we visit again?....probably not but dont let that deter you.Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Its nice to read that you see we do our own thing well regardless of if it was your cup or tea or not. As previous reviews and replies state we are a very busy great value pub and if it was fine dining or silver service you were after a more intimate dining destination would have been a more suitable choice. If its great value deals or well priced on trend foods in a nice countryside pub with efficient friendly staff I'm sure we would be a great option. As for the 'poetic licence' any comments or concerns could have been made aware to any of our staff working that evening or raised with the waiting on member who did the check back. I personally took your order that evening before expediting in the kitchen. Your meal was prepared and cooked as requested and i was happy with the meal sent, plates also came back empty. Kind regards, Andy

A multi award winning pub close to alton towers and the staffordshire moorlands
The Huntsman pub is located on the outskirts of Cheadle and has a large car park and beer garden. The interior was spacious and well presented and the greeting from the staff was very welcoming. Their was a large and varied selection of food on the menu including a specials board. This pub obviously takes pride in its real ales of which the choice was excellent and included a discount for CAMRA members. The quality of the food was excellent as was the service. The one piece of advice I would give would be to put on some background music as the place had the feel of a library about it as people were whispering to avoid being overheard or disturbing other customers. There was a large-screen television on with subtitles and the sound turned down. The value for money was very good and I have no hesitation in strongly recommending a visit to the Huntsman

Fabulous couldn't fault a thing. Lovely chilled out atmosphere, sat in the beautifully kept garden with a wine. Very well mannered n sociable waitress came and took our order. Ate inside spotlessly clean as always. Burgers arrived couldn't have been better best I've had for a long time. A really top night for a cheeky date night. Would highly recommend.

We are a fully licensed tapas bar, all homemade food with daily specials, Spanish style drinking cave! So try something new with friends and loved ones x
We were holidaying in the area and celebrating our anniversary with friends and decided to visit based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews. Lou and her staff are very welcoming, the tapas dishes are excellent and when we thought the best bit was over, we then ordered dessert which was fantastic ! Thanks for a memorable lunch :)
