Very reasonably priced food decent portions and quality, food served up quickly. We were very happy and found it good value for money. Locally sourced ice cream was delicious too. Pleasant location next to canal. We went there in evening later and I really enjoyed the pink gin cocktail.

Treated by my daughter who lives in Carnforth to a âboys breakfastâ at this tiny cafe hidden close to Booths store. The interior is very compact and great use is made of the outside tables. The Alpine themed interior is enchanting. The menu is extensive, the portions more than generous, the quality and value exceptional.Tip - book in advance if possible due to exceptionally strong regular custom

Clear Water Bistro, open seven days a week. Serving top quality, locally sourced, freshly prepared food and drinks in a beautiful lakeside location
Fantastic setting but zero confidence in the vegetarian food being served, chips and other 'vege' items fried in same fat as meat products despite being marked on the menu as vegetarian. Parmesan cheese served on vegetarian dishes. I will not be going back.Hi,Thank you for your feedback after your visit.I'm glad you liked our setting, it is something we are very lucky to have here.Sorry to hear you were not happy with the vegetarian options available to you, we do have a variety of options available on the menu which vary from sandwiches and jackets to vegetarian burgers and sausages. If you would like to give us another chance we would be happy to try and accommodate you should you not find something on the menu you fancy. If you want to discuss further please don't hesitate to contact me personally on the email [email protected]

Tea Room
Despite being hidden away in the shop at Cowan Bridge, the owners offer a delicious range of snacks & homemade cakes. There is ample parking behind the shop but new visitors may have driven past before they realise it is there.Quaint setting with typical teashop crockery.

Thereâs a good range of wholesome food, smoothly served at the Smithy, with good beer to go with it. On a weekday, after missing lunch, we took advantage of the 5pm start of evening meal service and werenât disappointed. By the time we left, the restaurant and pub were both busy. The steak pie was very good, as were the curry and the lambâs liver (which was one of the daily specials). Located in a small village, the Smithy draws a big clientele, so we suggest you go there too.

So first follow directions. Fire station then left towards the beach, over the railway lines to beach, keep left. Arrived just before noon and snuck into last available table. Staff so on the ball they continued to keep customers with politeness and efficiency. Well worth the wait. Amazing choices of food , all looked and was great. Loved the respect animals received with clean water bowls in the large open area.Reasonable cost and then back outside views that beats any of this six hour waits in airports. Would guess worth a visit on a stormy day as well.

We stopped for lunch after a morning stroll. The Inn has undergone a complete transformation since our last visit. We were warmly welcomed and sat outside in the October sunshine. Inside, there is a dining room and very comfortable bar area.We had lunch off the fixed price menu. Excellent value. The food is pub style but with a twist and elevated to restaurant standard. Excellent fish and chips and chicken as main dishes. Prompt and friendly service. Deserves to do well. There is a nice garden area and plenty of room for parking.Dear Stephen, Thank you for your review of The New Inn. We're glad that you enjoyed some autumnal sunshine in our garden - it's a great place to relax with food and drinks. We're also happy you enjoyed the food and service; hopefully next time you may be able to stay in one of our new boutique rooms! We look forward to seeing you againWarm regardsLaura

A country old fashioned pub serving high quality pub food. Not a gastro pub ,Good old fashioned pub grub at reasonable prices. Dog friendly, child friendly, diver and walker friendly. In fact we serve anybody or anything. Fish and chip night on a Wednesda
Decided to give this place another chance, as my elderly parents speak very highly of it, in truth, food is very average indeed, staff rude, and have excuses for everything, you don't come out for the evening to spend your hard earned cash on this mediocre tripe, in fact tripe would be a blessing compared to the inedible fodder this place serves we were majorly disappointed,Well Mark. What can I say other than you gave us a glowing review in 2016 likening my business to what sounded like the Munsters mansion serving bad food. Terrible service and generally the eatery from hell. So why did you return only to find we were still as bad or even worse than your first visit.I will tell you why........because this is a fictitious review. You say there are numerous good restaurants around us which I totally agree with but you have not given them any sort of rating. Yesterday on the day of your so called visit no one left any of our inedible food so what did you do with yours??? Put it in your hand bag.Reviews with realistic criticism I can tolerate but ones like yours show no purpose at all and in kevin Bloody Wilson words........the Australian comedian..... We met our family for lunch here one Sunday. There were 4 adults and two youngsters, the staff were extremely cheerful, accommodating and efficient. Their children's portions were exactly the right size and very nicely presented. Our food was hot, well cooked and again very well presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We will certainly come here again when meeting the family half way between them and us. Do call in it is well worth the visit.

We had lunch at Grafters Cafe Heysham today. It looks like a transport cafe at first glance but donât be put off. Inside dining room is very nice and thereâs outdoor seating where we sat. Staff are very nice and the food we had was excellent. I had the small breakfast but wish Iâd ordered the big breakfast it was so nice. My wife had a jacket potato with tuna. Also very nice. Served with mugs of tea that were also very good. Wouldnât hesitate to return or recommend Thank you for such a lovely review. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again soon.
