The Horseshoe Inn is located in the village of Tatenhill near Burton-Upon-Trent. It is a beautiful country pub with an enclosed beer garden and children's play area, making it the perfect family friendly venue. We offer a great food menu with great value
Popped in for drinks only, the beer garden is a good size with climbing frame etc which is good for children.Plenty of covered seating areas with umbrellas, drink costs average with friendly staff, more of your traditional pub with the usual fare for food. But do say hello to the goats and the chickens (and pullets) just roaming about, never seen that in a pub garden before!Worth a visit.

We were looking for somewhere local but where we had never been before. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly chap who showed us to our table and took our drinks order. We then ordered our breakfast which was a smoked haddock with poached eggs and spinach along with hollandaise sauce, for which I must say was absolutely delicious and super healthy way to start the day. My husband however had the full English breakfast with four slices of granary bread. Also my husband found really tasty. Hopefully be back for breakfast along with trying dinner.Thank you for the excellent service and breakfast!

The Red Lion is situated just off the A515 and is an ideal venue for all occasions. We are close to St George's Park, Tatenhill Air Field, Trent Raceway, Old Bakers Cottage B&B, Newborough Cottages and Hoar Cross Hall & Spa. We have a lovely bar area with
Location, staff, vibe, food choice, food taste and quality, service all absolutely excellent. And all at a fair price. We were staying at a local hotel where the food was expensive and restricted in choice. The Red Lion restored our smiles! Thank you for the great comments and 5 star rating Tony. I am delighted you had wonderful smiles when visiting the Red Lion, and it's great to hear you enjoyed the great food and wonderful hospitality we offer to all our guests.I do hope if you are staying in the area again that you pay us another visit, and you can be assured of our best attention, and smiles!

What a fabulous tea room. The building is beautiful, the breakfast amazing & the service is good. At the moment parking is free outside due to broken parking meters but, even if you have to pay itâs worth it. Highly recommended

Called here for a late lunch and food was so good we booked for the Supper Club later in the month. The food is all prepared to order and is well seasoned and very fresh, delightful beef and horseradish sandwich with a small salad that was seasoned and dressed so well that Iâd have happily just eaten that with some bread. Saw some tapas dishes go by and they also looked fab. The homemade sausage rolls were amazing- a little strong on the garlic but this in no way detracted from the quality of the roll. Well worth a visit- canât wait to returnHi Tmlb63Thank you so much for leaving this lovely review. Its so rewarding to welcome new foodie fanatics to the bistro! Love that you booked straight in to the Supper Club and we look forward to presenting some more fab food to you very soon!

Fine English cuisine with a French twist served in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.
Having visited The Old Vicage a few times we had not yet tried the Taster evening. 9 courses cooked to perfection over the course of an evening. There is also the option to purchase a drinks package that perfectly complements the food. Service as ever is exceptional and attentive. Would highly recommend this, however it is limited availability as we booked a few months ago so be prepared that there may be a waiting list.Thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your recent experience with us on our Tasting evening. I will pass on all of your lovely comments onto all of the staff.Hopefully we will see you again soon.Merci,Pascal

Our first visit and on a busy Saturday night. Table was booked for 20.30 but we didnât eat a thing until 21.45. Waitress was lovely and apologised and gave us a round of drinks on the house without us asking for anything which was very nice of her.Good things - lovely waitress, food was amazing, nice bustling atmosphere. Not so good things - Long wait, expensiveAnd whats the lettuce wedge all about ? Donât quite get that Love your review, Thank you for so honest comment and we are so sorry about wait, but Saturday night is really hard for us and we try make everyone happy. And the lettuce wedge originally came from an old America steak house back in 1950s. We've put our own twist on it, as it use to be served plain. The lettuce Wedge is a refreshing accompaniment that compliments the rich flavours of the steak.
