Although the menu has other options clearly the reason people come to Thistle is for the fish and chips. Portions are certainly generous (even though the plates are on the small side which leaves the fish hanging over the sides) though there is easily enough to eat. The fish is also not over-battered which cuts down on the calories. It was a busy place with tables turning over frequently and easy to see why it is popular.Although there was no chance of having room for it their dessert tray looked to be exceedingly over-indulgent for those who have a sweet tooth.When the crave arises for fish and chips then it definitely a place to return to.

Stopped in for a quick drink and bite to eat. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. There was a happy hour deal for half priced appetizers which we enjoyed. Calamari was great and a huge portion as well. Feta bruschetta was very tasty as well. Our server was also friendly.Thank you for stopping in. Next time stay a little longer and try some of our other dishes. Everything is house made from locally sourced suppliers. See you soon.
