A local pub serving good quality pub grub.
I live within 20 minutes walking distance of the Dusty. Although there are other places nearer it is still my favourite pub for a drink. The place always appears busy (both inside and out when it is sunny). Homely feel inside. Little added touches making you feel welcome. Toilets clean. Bar staff friendly. Been there when they have had turns on. Well organised. The food always appeared popular, but until last night I had not eaten there before. There were six of us booked in for early evening. We could not fault the place. The food was excellent value for money and of good standard, with a good choice. It was very busy but this did not interfere with the service. Later it became even busier (if possible) with a quiz night. This began after the food had ended. Apart from friends having to drive back we were tempted to stay even longer. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back either as a group or with others. Where else can you go with these surroundings and have a good meal for £5 upwards.Good Afternoon Dorothy SWhat a title for your review!! Thank you so much for your lovely, kind words!!Your whole review seems to cover most of the areas where we have tried to make sure all our customers have the best experience. Our staff try so hard to make sure every visit by every customer is a good one, they were all so pleased to read they succeeded in this instance.Everyone at the Dusty looks forward to welcoming you again and hopefully you'll be able to stick around for the quiz next time, although as you have already know, you have to get a table early as it's rather popular!See you next time when we hope to mirror your experience!Regards

Chef & Brewer owned place with Premier Inn next door.
Whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn, ate at the Old Mill on three consecutive nights, trying different dishes each night. Food was good with generous portions. Individual staff allocated to serve your table and look after you. Thanks Jamie for looking after our party.

Visited recently for our wedding anniversary . After hearing alot of hype we was looking forward to this place . But extremely disappointed Seemed very unorganised with lots of staff just flitting about like headless chickens . The food was ok but lacked taste and my wifes duck was tough. Was very hard to catch someone's attention to get a drink . Waited quite a while to get the food to our table . But if u want to sit in the bar area and listen to young lads and lasses talking like they're from made in chelsea then you will love it ...or if u fancy some blatant drug taking in the toilet then its spot on.... wont be going again that's for sure. Can produce far better in my own kitchen. Lesson learnt

Wine and cocktail bar with great beer, live music, kitchen and excellent atmosphere.
It was a wet day and that may have put us in a sombre mood, but the table by the window was a bonus. There were 3 of us and we ordered salmon in Parma ham (x2) and mushroom risotto (x1). The salmon arrived after a (longer than we had hoped) wait, with an apology that ravioli had been prepared instead of the risotto, so there would be an even longer wait for that. When it did arrive, the good news was that the garlic bread was good, but the risotto was more like Ambrosia rice pudding with mushrooms - there was no texture or signs of the rice grains, and most of the risotto went uneaten. When the dishes were collected at the end of the meal, there was not much compunction when I complained about the rice, not even a "would you like a coffee on the house?" It's unlikely that we shall be going there again, not even for the bar lady who served us with drinks and almost smiled at one point

Another superb meal at the Hare and Hounds. Fabulous steak yet again, Chateaux briande this time, perfectly cooked. To anyone yet to have a meal here I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The welcome, ambiance and of course the food is always excellent. I recently arranged my 50th birthday meal here - brilliant! Give it a try!!!

Opted for the Early Bird on a Saturday (before 6pm, 7pm Weds-Fri) with 4 choices on each course. The goats cheese mousse was gorgeous, followed by Lamb and finished with a Chocolate Brownie with amazing ice cream. Everything was beautiful. But the little touches like bread fresh from the oven with balsamic and oil to start with and the best red wine Iâve ever had also add to the experience. The service is great too. A la carte menu looked wonderful, but the set menu suited us. 10/10Thank you very much for taking the time to write this lovely review we are so glad you enjoyed your experience at 47 Grains and we will defiantly look forward to your return.Kind Regards,47 Grains Management

We stayed at The Black Horse for one night, and were very impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room we had was large, clean and comfortable, and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Service at the meals was exceptional, the young guy (Damien?) was superb. The main building is old so there is a bit of creaking when people move around but it isnât too bad and didnât disturb us. Excellent, we will be staying again.robertoeyThank you for taking the time to write us such a good review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the dinner and breakfast excellent. We have passed on your kind comments to Damien too! We hope to welcome you back soon.

We come to brighouse a lot throughout the year but this time we were stopping off with the grandchildren on our way back from skegness to the Wirral. We knew this chip shop and it was just a few miles off the motorway so we made the small detour. It was a monday lunchtime so wasnt that busy. The car park next to it is a pay and display one.The four of us chose our meals and sat down to our lunch. The usual meals in a chippy.I decided to order some bread but asked for it to be cut across the slice and not diagonal as you cant make chip butties from triangle bread................ :)I was told thats the way it comes, which surprised me as i thought, it must be easy to just butter 4 rounds of bread to order.I commented , thats a new one for trip advisor but continued to order the bread. When our meals was served, the lady serving us did in fact bring us a variety of sliced and unsliced buttered bread........( including diagonal, crosscut and unsliced)I will say that the girls who were serving us were always pleasant and polite. The chips were cooked and tasted nice.We all enjoyed our meal....... so yes its definitely a 4 plus stars on this trip.It would have been a perfect 5 stars had the bread option been to the choice of the customer and not, comes as it is.SO its only a half a star lost.We will be back. It is a nice chippy, and im happy to recommend it , even without the bread :)I hope this has been helpful :)

Decor attractive, good overall atmosphere. Attentive staff, however service felt rushed - little time between courses. Menu looked very promising but failed to deliver on taste. Some elements were excellent others disappointing, Ragu over salty with non of the distinctive flavour of vension, could have been beef. Lamb well cooked, but bulgur wheat was bitter and cheese rubbery. Wine and beer were both good. Total cost, around £110 for two. Not in a hurry to return.Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear you felt our menu failed to deliver and that you felt rushed. This is not our intention, we like our diners to feel relaxed and hope you will still return to give us another chance. Many thanks from the Brook's team.
