Situated in the heart of Beddgelert in the foothills of Snowdon, Cafe Colwyn and Tea Garden is a very popular and welcoming establishment. The comfortable, light and airy interior is complemented by a delightful riverside tea garden at the rear, where cus
The staff here were friendly and efficient . We had a lovely lunch but sat inside as the weather was a bit drizzly . My ciabatta and my husbands baguette were nicely cooked and mine decorated with a small salad . The tea was very nice as well , we regretfully declined cake or dessert as we would stop again later . We enjoyed our lunch there .

After reading some bad reviews about the Bryn Arms we decided to go in. Friday night was curry night, good choice as buffet style. Fair price. Staff very nice, owners are chatty. And if you ask nicely i am sure they wood make you a coffee.

I believe it to be run by the locals, opening times are hit and miss as is the food. Menu is limited and quite often 2 or 3 meals are unavailable due to supplier issues? Staff were friendly so not all bad however the interior / exterior decor leave a lot to be desired.

Came here after seeing they did t bone steak and enjoyed it so much we cancelled the booking we had elsewhere for our last holiday meal and returned . Food was well seasoned and presented . Staff were busy but attentive and food was served without too much wait . An added bonus is the attached slate shop , good selection of items at a reasonable price .

A traditional local pub offering open real fires, a warm welcome and excellent menu, pop in and say hello
Stayed one night, warm welcome by owner. Comfortable room although could have supplied wash/shower liquids. Nice breakfast room and really great breakfast certainly no need for lunch! TV setup could have been better but this is minor detail. Overall great place to stay with good parking and good location. The original building (1902) was a baptist chapel ask owner for the history. Hi Steve this is a pub not a b&b I think you might've mixed up the review's there, we don't have rooms at the pub. Thanks anyway though John

Greek Taverna by night, cafe by day! A 2 minute walk from the train station, walk down the platform and cross the tracks- head away from the town center. Homemade traditional Greek food with a Welsh twist, Greek wines and Welsh beers every Thursday- Satur
Visited Caffi Kiki for lunch yesterday and I was not disappointed! This quirky cafe with beautiful views is a must visit, perfect spot to come and relax, unwind and take in the scenery. Kiki the owner of the cafe, was lovely and welcoming and her passion for healthy Greek food shines through. The menu caters for all including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. I had the halloumi wrap with fries and salad which was beautifully presented and packed full of flavour! I was really impressed with the wide variety on the menu and how everything was homemade and prepared fresh. Iâm really intrigued to try the evening Greek menu which looks equally delicious! The staff were super friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions about the menu! Overall a really positive experience, I will definitely be back to try out more of the menu in the future!

Y Banc is an unique dining establishment in the centre of Porthmadog which is in a converted bank. We booked a table for 3 for a Friday evening at the end of September 2019 and when we arrived we found that we were in the private area of the former strong room. It was subtlety lit and cosy. We have been to Y Banc on least 2 other occasions and noticed some changes to the menu from the summer, items are now labelled, Earth, Farm, Field, Sea etc. Our selection of dishes included a vegan sharing platter, Snowdonia mushrooms, Menai mussels, patatas bravas, tandoori spiced cauliflower, sweet potato and maple fritters, a chicken special and a few meat based dishes. We had a short gap between appetisers and then the tapas arrived which was a free for all between the three of us sampling and sharing each otherâs selections. Thatâs is the joy of Tapas, the sharing of experiences. At first I was concerned about sitting in the strong room, thinking we would be forgotten about, but no the staff were in and out regularly checking we were ok. We didnât have a dessert this time we just relaxed with a coffee before heading for home. Hopefully we will be back at Y Banc soon.
