The Pilot Boat Inn looks like a boat! The pub is on the edge of Bembridge Harbour and is popular with sailors, cyclists, walkers, families and locals. Everyone is very welcome. The Pilot Boat Inn is open every day throughout the year for food, drink and a
We had booked a table and so we must have been expected. We were about twenty minutes early for our table time but planned to have a drink beforehand. When we walked in we felt unwelcome as though we were intruding on the staff sitting and chatting at the bar. The door was open but nobody seemed to welcome us or come forward to take us to a table. The service was a little haphazard. The lady who brought out the food was friendly however we had no idea what was on offer in the âbistro styleâ no menu set up.It was all a little strange and we wonât hurry back. Just odd!!Apologies Alex, we have not served food for 3 months now so this must have been under a different Regime a few months ago! We are still not serving food but hope to soon,BestGeorge

We think that the Culver Haven Inn has some of the best views on the Isle of Wight. We also think it has delicious pub food, friendly bar staff and a cosy atmosphere. Well, we would wouldn't we? Why not come and check it for yourself? Don't forget, we are
A beautiful walk over Culver Down followed up by lunch in the pubHe had a fish burger, which looked a substantial portion, and came with chips and side salad. I had the small gammon, egg and chips, which was the amount I would normally give myself for dinner! All with two mugs of proper latte, came to a reasonable £23Very friendly staff, the dog enjoyed her stroke and bonio

Visited last month with family and enjoyed. Delicious food to chose from. Service wasnât quite as attentive as imagined as had to keep asking for drinks etc - but they were fairly busy with some larger parties. Overall very happy, thank you. Apologies! Larger parties are no excuse for not looking after you too. Glad you enjoyed our food and thank you for the positive review. We hope we get a chance to serve you better next time.

Nestled in the heart of Bembridgeâs old high street, this quirky traditional styled building is reputed to have been serving pints since 1787. These days, the Landlordâs are the Chapman family (Fellow Associate of the BII) are continuing this fine traditi
During our stay at Kingswood camps in Bembridge we dined at this beautiful local pub twice. We were a group of 18 (16 teens) and we were given an exceptionally great welcome from Jay and all the staff. The food was very good both in quality and quantity. Jay was very flexible to order over the phone and was very helpful to our teens. Great place, good food, good people and good music! Will definitely come back.So glad you had an amazing time. Your group were greet fun. It was fun showing them all the different food before they ordered. Always a pleasure. See you soon.

The Beach Hut Beachside Bar and Seafood kitchen is a fresh seafood, cocktail & wine kind of place. Quirky. Outdoor. Seasonal. Daytime. On the beach. Reached down wooden stairs. A tiny hut serving seafood platters, cocktails & wines from 12o/c. Chilled. Re
What a beautiful supper we had with friend and family at this beautiful place set on the beach front. Great service, beautiful ambience and quality local food. Local fish was gorgeous and there was lots of choice - highly recommend booking and a visit here.

Was struggling to get a table at our usual haunts on the IOW, so decided to give this pub a go based on the reviews here. Was not disappointed, excellent food my partner had barbecue ribs to die for, and I had one of the best steak and ale pies in my experience. Really good deserts followed and at a reasonable price. Loved the aircraft themed decor as well of course it is located next to the airport. Plenty of parking as well. Note would advise you reserve a table in advance. as it gets busy.

These guys could help themselves by learning the first rule of service... never return to the kitchen empty handed.Ignore this and you have tables filled with dirty plays and you double up on your time and steps.Food nice, service terrible - staff in dreamland and unable to multi task.Thank you for your review. I think its very sad you feel, that you had, a terrible service, I'm very sorry that we don't clear plates fast enough around other tables maybe we have a ,very small kitchen maybe on that day we did 75 people in the morning 32 people for lunch and 47 people in the evening being a bank holiday weekend it's really busy but again I'm sorry we didn't clear the tables fast enough for you... But as you said, the food was lovely..Mark. P,s we have had the restaurant for 20 years, ok if we were useless we wouldn't still be there. But thanks for the tip. And I'm sure people reading your review, will find , your suggestions useful as well. .

It attracts customers because there's no competition. It's OK for a coffee , tea or a snack, but there are no toilets and lots of wasps...... If you fancy a loooo-ong chat with the owner then this is the place for you.Thank you for your review. No competition? I think youâll find that our nearest neighbour, just 100 yards or so away, is also a café.My husband remembers talking to you, in response to your questions. I am sorry if you thought his answers long-winded but, for some reason, he feels obliged to explain to people who have managed to miss a total of 7 signs in and around the building warning about the lack of toilets, why this is. For the benefit of others reading this, the signs are not a joke, THERE ARE DEFINITELY NO TOILETS!!! The land owner is unable to install them due to the instability of the cliff. Iâm sure the Environment Agency would be none too pleased if a landslip caused a break in the sewer which contaminated the beach and affected the quality of the bathing water. As for the wasps, we have done everything we can to deter them, but still they continue to do what wasps do. I can assure you that they are just as annoying to us as they are to everyone else. Possibly more so!

Based in the heart of Bembridge village, Lockslane is a small and intimate restaurant, seating a maximum of 20 guests. We buy local where we can, with our fish, meat and majority of our fruit and veg coming from right here in the village. We are open Wedn
First visit since change of owners. Retains its intimate atmosphere and service is perfect and welcoming. The food is well cooked, but somehow lacks the lightness of touch of the previous chef and presentation is only average. A much more rustic style. Feels a little like a talented chef playing it too safe.Only other issue is the placement of the coat hooks directly outside the open kitchen. Having coats dry cleaned to eliminate odours is quite an overhead!Remains a cut above any restaurant in the East Wight and, with some small tweaks, has the potential to rival the best on the island. We will return. Recommended. Many thanks for your review, weâre glad you enjoyed your evening with us and hope to see you again next time. With regards to the coat hooks, it is an issue that we are aware of, and are in the process of remedying. Many thanks,R&J
