Reviews on Brew Pub food in Vatican City, Lazio, Italy. Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

We went here the last night of our initial stay in Rome, before heading north for a week. Their meat and cheese plate was so good, we went back when we returned to Rome before flying home. Yes, there are 10,000 restaurants in Rome, and we went here twice in our four nights there. And the last night, we had to walk 35 minutes to get there. Located in the charming Trastevere neighborhood, it's a cute little wine bar with couch seating and tables that look out onto the street. The Essenza Board for Two is amazing: a large selection of meat, cheeses, melon, and more; plus a small bar of chocolate to sprinkle over one of the cheese dishes (complete with a mini-grater so you don't eat the chocolate whole). The last night we had lasagna, since we were still slightly hungry after our board. Delicious, and beautifully presented. And, since it's a wine bar, the wine selection (get the Primitivo!) is excellent as well.

We were walking from the Vatican to The Colosseo and happened to be close. So happy we discovered this place. The food and beer were amazing. We ate in the downstairs area which was very quaint. The pork with the chocolate sauce and The carbonara were incredible Thank you very much for your kindly review See you soon Good night!!MG

Who visits Italia, expects to find Pizzas and Pastas in all restaurants. In fact, that is true, but the Italian cuisine is far more rich than that. This restaurant is a nice example of that. We found it on Tripadvisor and has no expectations. Well, it was very satisfied to see the way the owner (or waitress, we didn't see the difference) receives us. She was extremely kind and patience explain all the menu and the cuisine experience and values behind each menu item.Everything was very natural and simple. The food challenged our senses and the wine list is very focus on local wines (Lazio region). For my point of view they are a good companion, light and fresh as this restaurant. The deserts were superb, specially the chocolate mouse and Tiramissu. In conclusion, a very, very interesting alternative to the crowded restaurants full of tourists and pizzas, pastas e canelonis :)Please continue with your fantastic work and joy.

So many delicious sandwich options - both vegetarian or with delicious Italian meats. Lots of delicious toppings and spreads. It is a good deal, also. I tried a few words of Italian and found the staff to be friendly and helpful in response. They can be very busy during lunchtime.

As other reviewers of this restaurant stated, we were looking for something other than the pizza/pasta of Rome (though it is delicious), and stumbled across Burger Bistro. What drew us in was that we had a hankering for burgers, and the positive reviews, as well as the ease of making a reservation online. We got to the restaurant in plenty of time, and were greeted immediately. I don't know if reservations are necessary, as there was only one other family there when we arrived, BUT, we are American, and enjoy eating dinner earlier than all of Italy, it seems, so I could see that it would be a good idea later in the night, as the restaurant is on the smallish side. We made our selections quickly: a bacon cheeseburger for both my children, an Italian burger for my sister, and a chicken burger for myself. The burgers are ala carte, so we ordered sides of fries, onion rings, and a side salad to share. Our drinks came quickly (Lagunitas for my sister, Hefeweisen for me, and Sprite for both kids), and dinner arrived in good time. There is a sign on the wall stating that all orders are cooked, "Sous Vide", and can take longer-it didn't matter to us. We usually come with our "Patience Pants" on. The burgers were a good size, and the fries came with enough to share. The onion rings and salad, not so much. For 3,50 euro, we were hoping they were a bit larger, though the onion rings were cooked perfectly, and the salad was perfectly dressed-we just wanted more for the money. The prices are reasonable, and the food delicious! I would definitely recommend visiting. The only unfortunate thing was that a lot of the dishes that we wanted to try that featured fish were not available-maybe due to availability. They all sounded so yummy, but we didn't leave disappointed. It just means we will have to come back the next time we are in Rome :)

Very close to te Vatican museum, a typical Roman fast food. You can taste the traditional food of Rome like Porchetta, specialities from Italy like Prosciutto crudo San Daniele, buffalo mozzarella. You can drink draft beer or a glass of best Italian wine
Lovely little restaurant that is run by amazing and friendly staff. Recommended family members who are visiting Rome to come in for food as it was delicious! Perfect place to come and eat after a long day of sightseeing. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the decor is lovely and very trendy. Will be back next time Iâm in Rome!!
