If you are nearby, you can't miss this place: relaxing atmosphere, delicious fruit juices, fresh fruit as well as some fruit preserves, honey, jams and pickles. You have to try their "coxinha" - specially made of cassava (a local variation of a traditional Brazilian snack).

We were in the Campinas area, near Valinhos, and we were taken to lunch outdoors at the edge of the city. You'll see a bunch of bamboo trees --indeed Bambuzal means bamboo trees--and a lot of cars, and happy people exitiing. This was a very hopeful sign.Inside the sumptuous setting you will find an eating experience unlike anything you've ever seen, And the best part is that all the dishes are prepared with special care ---the inside room with the incredible salads and appetizers (try the spicy green salad), then you come outside and the tender, succulent steaks coming off the grill, the clay pots of feijoada, chicken, pork dishes, pastas, empanadas, you name it --it is here. Some of my favorite dishes were the grilled chicken, roasted caulflower, and sliced roast beef. Where do you go wrong? You take the blue slip of paper, they weigh your food. You order any drinks --including caipirihinas which I had and an ice cold glass of guarana, the national drink. Then you really have to pace yourself for the dessert room. These aren't just gummy impersonal cakes ---you need to try homemade Brazilian desserts, and this from a country that cherishes sweets: a coconut meringue, a creamy dulce de leche, candied figs (you are in the capital of figs, enomous things too!), walnut cakes, etc. You can even try the gelato. How can you ever pass up an experience here --especially on a weekend lunch/brunch. Come in hungry!

I like to stop by at Caiu do Ceu when I'm in a hurry just to eat fast. They have a pretty food range of juices and their sandwich is small but goodThe Pasteis is average

Although they call it pizza bar and the pizza indeed is delicious, in fact we love their barbecue, always done in a carefull manner, good portions and reasonable prices. The draft beer (chopp) is very good and also the limited but good wine selection. It seems the real differential is the carefull and close watch from the owner, who monitors all details and supervise services, visiting clients at the table. Definitively a must go.
