Friendly and efficient service. food well prepared;, and portions are rather big. We had aspargus as a starter and they were very well prepared.prices are reasonable and a lot of choice on the menu card. It can be rather hot in summer time I guess, and it is a pity that the terrace is situated at the street side which is very busy with lot of traffic.Price of wine also reasonable. All in all a good choice for a good meal at a good price in not the most fancy restaurant ; but we will be back becausr of quality of food and friendly and good service..

Played the American course on the Monday Special - 59 eur for 18 holes plus lunch. Course was spectacular! Great layout, lots of hills and elevation changes. Bunkers everywhere. Greens were fast as lightning. Condition was excellent. Staff were very helpful; I discovered I'd left my putter and wedge in my son's bag when I went to the practice green. They lent me a putter for the round. Not sure it did any good (49 g.d. putts!) I had the entire course to myself; teed off at 0820. Ran into one old guy on #11, but he wandered off after the green. I did get stuck behind the groundskeeper on 7,9, and 9; he was mowing the greens and that was a tad annoying. I like to play fast.The lunch was good; I ended up with a salad with lardons, couldn't finish it all.Overall good value for golf in Belgium, and a spectacular course! I'll try to slip out again on another Monday special.

As I visited Nivelles I had to try the famous tarte al djote. It was very good, but I can't compare with others because it was the first time I ate it.I liked the taverne, everything was spotless clean and the service was friendly. I didn't have to wait long for my food and it was certainly not expensive. So I will go back, if I visit Nivelles again.

Not that difficult to find, roundabout before entering gradually Nivelles from Nivelles North exit on highway. Lots of traffic passing by, but as the weather was nice we took the chance to eat outside. Not exactly quiet, nor healthy maybe with the traffic... Service was very friendly, and we took menu with mussels. Nice sauce came with it, quantities were up to our huge standards, and we liked every course of it. if you look for non-pretentious easy menu at afforable prices, this must be a good candidate.

The restaurant Maximus is located close to Lillois, at around 20 km from Brussels.The menu proposes a broad choice of starters, meat, fishes... But the specialities are the croquettes as starter and the meat (mixed grill, hamburgers, steak...).I ate a scampi croquette as starter and an Irish rumsteak as main course. It was excellent and the quantity was not too big.The atmosphere was nice, maybe a little bit too noisy.

I travel to the area a few times a year for business. Each time I have been there I have thoroughly enjoyed what I have ordered. It is a father/son business that was once a Pub on the tram line.

Located in the centre of Nivelles and with grand views of the renovated Church, LOLI Ambiance Lounge offers the discerning diner a relaxing yet rewarding gastronomic experience. The name is suitably descriptive and staff are well organised and efficient, the tables not too close to be imposing and the food just what is expected from a professional french-speaking chef. Located at the front of the restaurant tables are of a tall design, but with correspondingly high chairs there is no discomfort. Other patrons were quiet and respectful - no noise or raucous behaviour and a non-smoking policy ensured a very pleasant interlude. Sadly though, the only disadvantage was that English was not spoken by the staff.The menu is not vast, but contains a number of meat and fish dishes together with special "meals of the day" all served with a choice of potato options. I was relaibly informed that the restaurant is noted more for these options than anything else - but better to make a reservation and try for yourself.

We had the pleasure of having a very nice lunch sampling the "plat du jour". This is a lunch that is usually served during the week and consists of a starter, main course and dessert and changes every day of the week. We took the wine option and were not disappointed. The food was excellent although the portions were copious for us small eaters. It just seems that the older we get, the less quantity we like to eat. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant five stars is because my mother and I asked to have smaller portions (I dislike wasting food) by having one piece of meat instead of two on the plate for the main course. To our disappointment we were served the regular large portion anyway.Hello, thank you for your appreciation. Hope to see you again with smaller portions ... it's promised!
