We went to this trendy restaurant with our Belgium friends, they actually booked a table for us prior to our arrival in Belgium .The restaurant is very modern and trendy with just enough tables, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We all ordered the same starter which was a shrimp croquettes served with fresh salad and the local bread, it was so delicious. We all decided to have a variety of fresh fish served with various pasta's and vegetables and two very good bottles of white wine which went perfectly with the meal.We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the lovely staff who served us and the price was a plus, not too expensive, well worth the money we spent. Our friends already know this little jewel of a restaurant.Well done T, Sands staff and restaurant, we will certainly be visiting again and will spread the word about you.

Listed in the Gault Millau (score: 15/20) and in Michelin (1-star) cullinary guides.
We dined at Philippe Nuyens' restaurant at least a dozen time, even before he received his Michelin Star. Until now we always took the menu, sometimes with wine included. Philippe and his small team create with fresh and seasonal ingredients always a nice meal. He does not really experiment and cooks traditional French-Belgian, but if you are in the neighborhood of Blankenberge or Brugge and you want to pay the same price as in a bistro, but then with a Star, then Philippe Nuyens is more than a good choice.

We did see a nice website, a chef with Michelin star experience, nice dishes, ... we went with nice expectancy :-). But it was rather a disappointment ! Friendly service, nice restaurant, no problem. But a filet mignon with béarnaise sauce that is not fresh or self made ? A fish platter with sole filet as a frozen product, near the sea ? No, this is for me really not done. And this for a price that is rather high ... Honestly, there are really much better places to go at this level !!

We visit Belgium and Blankenberge every year for our holidays and always have to include a visit to this tearoom. The food and service are always exceptional and the staff are always incredibly friendly. If you get a chance try one of their waffels or pancakes - they are far nicer than the ones that you get in nearby Brugge and a lot nicer price too.

We had dinner at the Griffioen a Sunday in May. We enjoyed the homemade cuisine based on fresh produce very much especially the incredible fish soup. The owner of the restaurant is very kind and service was good. The Bib Gourmand is well deserved. We highly recommend the restaurant and will certainly return.

We visited this restaurant with a gift certificate "bongo"We could have the day menu, without desert and coffee, and a bottle of house one (white, rosé or red). We also got a amuse, which was a nice plus. This was fine for us, as the main was fish, which we always want, when going to resto at the coast.the food was simple, but good. Not fancy and glam, but honest food with fresh ingredients. We were happy with what we were served, and the rosé wine was nice. They have a nice terrace, but when heavy rain, I would recommend to sit inside.

We had a super delicious meal in Ten Doele, a very good looking interior which is way above the typical "stuff as many tourists as possible" restaurants you find in blankenberge. Because of the price setting you are forced into the menu, 45,50 euro for the 3 course menu while a main course from the a la carte card easily sets you back 30 euro. However, we can't complain because the menu contains more than sufficient choices. The only negative we can say about this restaurant is that, if you want to go for dinner in a weekend, it's impossible to get a table if you don't book 2 months upfront. For2x menu + apperitive + wine + coffee we paid 140 euro
