"Jacob's Memorial"; often shortened to just Zikhron; Arabic: زخرون يعكوف) is a town in Israel, 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Haifa, and part of the Haifa District. It is located at the southern end of the Carmel mountain range overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, near the coastal highway (Highway 2). It was one of the first Jewish settlements of Halutzim in the country, founded in 1882 by Baron Edmond James de Rothschild and named in honor of his father, James Mayer de Rothschild. In 2016 it had a population of 22,660.

The food here is actually good. We had a lovely server. But the host was rude and inattentive. We were seated at a table with a lot of sun exposure. After determining that it was just going to be too uncomfortable, I asked the host to re-seat us, and pointed out a few open tables in the shade. A few minutes later, I reminded him of my request, and he rudely told me how busy he was (the place is really not that big, and there were never more than 4-6 people waiting in line). We then saw him seat several new customers at the shady tables. At the end of the meal, I asked him why he did not move us, and he had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. I told him it was too late, and he just blew me off and walked away in a huff.Again, good food and nice table service. This place is serving simple and tasty Middle Eastern food at reasonable price! It is located at the north end of the pedestrian mall (central location). They succeed to be basic and not fancy. We had soup of the day, salad selection, humus with mushrooms (low rating for the humus) and chicken skewers. The place was noisy as it was full. Leave room for the icescream at Aldo across the road.

Excellent meat , simple restaurant , a must near Caesaria . Do not order merguez they are too hot by far. All the remaining food is good. It is a snack bar of meat . Benhamou is a butcher
