It is situated on the Ouachita River, across from the neighboring city of Monroe. The two cities are often referred to as the Twin Cities of northeast Louisiana. BBQ is MY thing and 2DB&Q was as delicious as has ever passed my lips! The meat was well-flavored whether topless or slathered. The sauce choices were perfect. And the sides...abundant and delectable! We had the twice baked potato casserole, beefy baked beans, and 4 cheese Mac & cheese. Not your average carry out BBQ line, but a dining experience fit for a date!

Four and 1/2 stars should mean something. BBQ West doesn't deliver at that level. Although my wife liked her 1/4 chicken, the rest was not worth the visit. Dry pulled pork that begged for sauce to make it edible. Presentation of the sides in the hot section didn't whet your appetite. Green (or were they a grey-green?) beans had been in the water too long. This is the second high starred TripAdvisor restaurant that we've visited lately that truly doesn't measure up.

Slow and steady goes the cooking process of this local BBQ joint. Do yourself a favor and get the sides of baked beans and potato salad. You will be glad you did.

I visited today and had an interesting experience. The overall facility from the road looks ok however when entering needs some updating as well as real cleaning. The staff are extremely friendly, inviting and accommodating. The food was awesome - I got the special which was chicken and sausage with 2 sides. The sides were amazing and the meat was smoked to perfection. Great place to just eat...
