It was hard to choose a n item to order. Everything sounded good. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs w/2 sides & corn bread. It was delicious and enough for 2 meals. Ribs slipped off the bones, tender and seasoned just right. Donât be fooled by the bldg on a side street just off main. The service was friendly and great. Iâd go back there for sure on my next visit here.

We stopped in on a Saturday evening for dinner. We were immediately seated, even though they were pretty busy. Our server was quick to greet us and was pleasant and friendly. They have a decent menu with many BBQ-related specialties and pretty decent prices.Their onion loaf appetizer was decent. The beef brisket sandwich was loaded with fat and not very flavorful, so tons of BBQ sauce was used to help spike it up a little. The potato salad was loaded with tons of mayo, more than was really necessary and the flavor was subdued due to all the mayo. BBQ beans were tasty.Overall, it was just OK.
We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way to the wineries. It's just a great place for BBQ, what else? There's brisket, ribs, and pulled pork with homemade sides and great Kansas city style sauces to add as you please! I would definitely stop at Smokin Billy's again!
We have now had take out from here 3 times. Pulled Pork and Jerk Chicken. Could not ask for better food and friendlier service. Both meats were juicy, not over cooked and well seasoned. Topped off with home made sauce ( North Carolina vinegar and mustard was exceptional ) we canât wait to visit again. Only issue is still limited, but growing, hours as the new business starts up. The owners work behind the counter and smoker and were always happy to customize things to our request. Also just plain old nice conversation while they prepared our order. Sides were good but the âQ was the star in our experience. Hereâs hoping hours and business grow quickly.
