Flengi is well known in Istria for its restaurants with lamb and piglets on spit...and this place is not an exception. We got there somewhere between lunch and dinner time so it was almost empty but the lamb and the piglet came directly from the spit and both were excellent, juicy and warm. The service was quick and efficient and the prices were standard for Istria...two servings of lamb and two servings of piglet with potatoes, drinks and a salad was around 15 euro per person...only the mixed salad was not that good especially the tomatoes which were too green...we also got a rakija or coffee for free at the end :)

An amazing and unique place, rustic very well made local food, atmosphere and layout really enjoyable. Staff extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Went there 2 nights in a row on holiday, wouldâve gone more if it was possible. A must visit in this area.

We arrived with a party of 13 (reserved beforehand). The restaurant was nearby the campsites, very crowded but with great atmosphere and a nice location. Personally ordered the Pancho Steak, medium rare. Although I'm normally hesitant to order a steak medium-rare (too many experiences where it was well-done rather than medium-rare, it was grilled to perfection. I received pasta with truffle as a side dish which was extremely delicious as well but it might not be the dish to take for those who are not a big fan of truffle. The waitress was extremely kind and responded well, and joined in, with jokes and gave clear responses to our questions. All in all:I would absolutely recommend this place. If you find yourself near here be sure to check it out. Make sure you make reservations though as the restaurant seems to be extremely crowded at all times.

We had driven past this small area of restaurants and seen the suckling pigs cooking over the spits so thought we'd go back and try it out for dinner. I picked this particular restaurant as their spits were still hot and the pork was obviously fresh. We were seated inside then ignored for about 20 mins when we finally waved someone over to take a drinks order, then food order. We then waited over an hour for our meal to arrive as we watched locals arrive after us and get served food in double quick time. We had the audacity to then ask how much longer it would be and were ignored for the rest of the evening as our 'punishment'. When the food arrived it was actually delicious - lovely grilled vegetables and succulent lamb/pork. Unfortunately the lack of service spoilt the whole experience for us and we left without trying the desserts. The moral of the story? If you aren't local, don't bother as you'll be treated as a second rate citizen.

We where here as a family and had a seafood salade, a croatian âBurgerâ (pljeskavica) and grilled pork (Spanferkel). The food was very good. The service nice. The ambiente was not special. Baby-chair was perfect for 8 month old baby. But you could come here for sure.

We visited thIs charming restaurant with our friends Kurt and Debs who live nearby. It was a cloudy and chilly evening but the owner gave us the warmest of welcomes and led us to a table close to the open fire. The service was excellent and the waiter spoke perfect English thankfully. The local wines were tasty and every dish ordered was spot on. The beef stew with tagliatelle was delicious and my wifeâs risotto was simply delectable. We shared a salad and the host offered us a digestif to round off a terrific meal - highly recommended!

Unless I was unlucky, this is more a pile it high, sell it cheap approach to eating pork (their specialty) Suckling pig was huge chunks of pork that could have been from any age pig with some good quality meat but a lot of fat, grisle and bone. My wife's vegetarian dish was very poor.Service indifferent. Looks better than it is.

We stopped by here for lunch. We had a table on the side of the playgarden. Our son had a blast while we enjoyed a nice glass. The food was delicious. We had the fish plate to share for two and it was amazing. Service was good and the price was reasonable. Certainly recommended!
