Evanâs barbecue was very good, service also very good (we guessed it would because police cars were parked in the lot for lunch - they know!!!). Weâll be back because we want to try other specials - chopped pork sandwich was excellent but their wings were so-so. Will try ribs and brisket next!!!

Went to this BBQ place on a Saturday night in April 2011 for the first time. Service was fast and attentive, with the owner walking around asking how things are and talking with the customers. I got the 1/2 rack of ribs, and my wife got the BBQ pork plate. Both of us got Brunswick Stew. I found the ribs good and meaty with a flavorful sugary glaze. My wife liked her pork. I found the stew average. Their sauce wasn't quite the style I like (I'm more of a Texas BBQ fan), but it was good. I'd certainly return.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced, delicious home cooked meal on a Saturday night, the American Legion Post in Villa Rica is the place to go! We stumbled upon it by chance while visiting my sister a couple of months ago and had their BBQ pork dinner. It was the best BBQ I've had in a long time-smoked to perfect tenderness, not greasy at all and not drowning in sauce (also had a choice of BBQ chicken) - a side of coleslaw and cornbread completed the meal. Drinks are unbelievably reasonably priced at the bar. The food is cooked by a couple of the members, so it's homecooked right there. Every Saturday is a different complete meal, including such dinners as turkey, pot roast, meatloaf, steak, etc. The meals are generally $7 with the steak dinner night going for $13 - a bargain for the quality of the food. My sister and her husband have been going there every Saturday since then we first discovered it. As a plus, there is karaoke after 8 pm and there are a couple of slot machines. Don't be put off by the casual atmosphere- it is a homey kind of place whose members and visitors are the salt of the earth. I can't wait to get back there!

After volunteering at Smokey Bear site with the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources (ODNR) at the Ohio State Fair we wandered the fairgrounds and decided on Dre's BBQ. Great food, quick service, and sociable people
