Reviews on Barbecue food in Vieste, Province of Foggia, Italy. For years, Vieste was just another fishing village… but now it’s a popular Mediterranean beach destination. Swim and sail in deep-blue water (widely renowned for its purity), or explore the town’s fine castle and cathedral. For the ultimate Vieste experience, pack a picnic basket and ask a local to direct you to their favorite hidden cove.

We was in this restaurant for dinner and lunch, too.The service was really quick and friendly. We eat mainly fish dishes, but exquisite was cacciacavollo local Apulia cheese with tomatoes. Mixed grilled fish dish was really big and numerous.Lunch service was quick.

We decided to have the set menu for two for â¬39 including local sweets a liquer. There was bruschetta to start then a choice of fish or meat starter and main course. There were lots of people waiting for tables, most of them seemed to be locals so it was a good sign. Good value for money.

We reserved for two families on a Sunday night at this beautiful place in olive gardens at outdoor covered space! Especially great typical local mixed starters, great grilled meat, local ambiance, local wines, olives limoncello digestives and gekkos eating flies and mosquito's. We will come back!

We have eaten better in less expensive restaurants. The cost was high but the food was nothing special so I didn't feel this was value for money. This was recommended by our B&B and was the first restaurant we ate in. After that I disregarded all the other restaurants they had recommended and picked our own!

Great place, nice food, good price performance, nice staff and garden. Relaxed and out of the busy tourist areas and still just a 3 minutes drive from the beach!

We decided to visit the Masseria San Salvatore again this year because I felt we didn't do a good enough review last year and I needed another excuse to eat and drink some fabulous local products! Like I need an excuse This year we arrived early so we could see the sunset and enjoy the amazing views from the location. Here they produce all their own products and there are plenty of animals around for young children to really enjoy. The staff are incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming. For children this is must visit location as they can run around and see all the animals in between dinner courses. Good for parents that have had a long day and want to unwind, while the children amuse themselves. We ordered carpaccio and Tagliere di Formaggi as a starter, which is all their own cheese. As a starter there was plenty for 2 adults and a growing 10year old. It was well presented and appreciated. For our second course we decided on Troccoli con crema di ceci al rosmarino, pancetta e pecorino. We split the dish as we really just wanted to try it and we were not disappointed. For our third course we ordered costolette d'agnello and capretto which is meat eaten off the bone. All different cuts of meat served with vegetables. For my son, this is his favourite part of dinner as he strips the bone of meat. What's lovely is that they cook and prepare the meat in such a way that if you want more, it's immediately ready. We had a choice of deserts which ranged from their house special to fruit so of course we had a variety to sample everything. Crostata di prugne modeled by Simona Santolini!!!!The wine we took was a Puglia wine 'Libe' which was a little light for me at 13% but perfect for the meal. We spent about 3 hours here, ate without any pressure to release the table, which it is important to stress, you need to book or you will be disappointed as this masseria is extremely popular. I personally recommend booking for 8 but arriving at 19.15 so you can relax and enjoy the views.
