It is a port city on the Pacific Ocean with a population of 103,200 as of 2005. Its climate is hot and dry. Due to its oil reserves, and ability to produce aviation fuel, Talara hosted a United States air base during World War II. Talara is also home to a large fishing fleet. The city is served by the Cap. FAP Víctor Montes Arias Airport.

Wow...just wow!! This place serves the best grilled steak I've had in a long time. I'm a huge fan of their gaucho style grill and their pit master is an expert at managing the fire. Cooked everything perfectly to order. I'm very critical when it comes to steaks and this place leaves nothing to desire.Service was good as it seems to be everywhere in Talara. The place is clean and very inviting. I can't wait to go back again.
