We (family of four - two adult kids, my husband and I) had dinner here last night. PROS:1. The food was great. We had the Lobster and Shrimp Quesadillas as a starter. For the four of us, one order was sufficient. We loved it and for me, it was the best quesadilla ever. We each got the Steak (can't remember which one) and that was cooked perfectly. It wasn't the best steak, but it was very good. For dessert, two of us got the Tropical Fruit Tiramisu. My daughter, who had been there before, said that it was far better the first time around, with passion fruit, as opposed to cranberries, which is what we had. My desserts are better than that one. Our son had the Passion Fruit Creme Brulee. He says that it was good, but not the best. It needed to be slightly firmer. My husband got Vanilla Ice Cream, which we thought would be homemade. It was not. It was the usual standard processed rubbish that is found here throughout the island. 2. Best service ever. Truly. 3. Ambiance and setting - delightful. 4. Music - wonderful. CONS:1. You cannot get tap water. If you want water, you must pay for bottled. 2. You are not allowed to take food home. 3. The price is high, very high, so be prepared! Honestly, this is the sort of place that I can't imagine going to very often. Unless if you get burgers or something not too big, no appetizers, no drinks, be prepared to pay quite a bit. 4. They need to offer more desserts that are alcohol-free. I'm sick and tired of going to places in Grenada with few desserts as it is, but then to have most of them contain alcohol. Also, I'm tired of the lack of selection of ice cream. There are plenty of fruits here, where local, homemade ice cream can be made.

Beach Bar and Grill located at Lance Aux Epines Cottages. Now open Tuesday to Sunday 12 noon until Sunset!
We were staying in the cottages here, so had many opportunities to use this lovely bar. Real toes in the sand stuff. Great Rum punch, great Pina coladas . I had some amazing seared tuna, and a good burger. The staff were great, the chef was happy to assist my daughter husking a coconut for photography homework , all done with a smile!! Just as good a location as the beach club at the Calabash a few steps down the beach, and certainly better value for money ! You can also book ahead. Hi MrMrsW50, Thank you so much for this lovely review! We are absolutely delighted you have enjoyed the drinks, meals and ambiance at Sand Bar and we will be sure to pass on your compliments to the staff. The Seared Tuna is definitely a favourite here!-Thaneia
