Regional restaurant of meat and codfish.
I enjoyed the beef, although the portion was rather small for the price. This is a cozy restaurant, with a nice dining room, and good quality food. We arrived quite late for lunch (14.30) and the kitchen was about to close, but they kindly accepted us.Excellent wine list, although quite overpriced - I checked the wine I ordered against the price in a local supermarket nearby, and it was 3 times more expensive in the restaurant.

My family and I visited this restaurant for dinner while in Ponta Delgada. We had driven by it a few times and decided to give it a try. It's a very small and cozy restaurant with about 10 or so tables. The waiter greeted us at the door and it was actually quite busy in there but a table was just finishing up as we arrived. You order your meat/seafood from the menu and then your sides such as salad, fries, etc. The staff would make all the sides and give you the prepared raw meat to grill right at your table. Such a fun experience! We really enjoyed the food here so much that we came back a second time on our last night! The server was so friendly and was so busy because he was the only one waiting on tables. This seems to be a family run business and they show great hospitality. The local wine was also delicious!! For 6 of us, we payed 40 euros total!! We would definitely recommend this place to others!

Ramires Ponta Delgada Restaurant serves Chicken, original from Guia since 1964, with its special sauce with piri-piri. You can delight in both the Motherhouse in Algarve- Guia, as in S. Miguel in the Azores.
Ok. I am a foodie and French fries are never something I order intentionally, but I ordered the chicken piri piri and it came with a side of fries. Those of us United States citizens realize these fries are probably illegal in the states. They are addictive and our group had to order another plateful. Prices are very reasonable here, they have free wifi, terrific sangia and are adjacent to the cruise port making it very easy to gauge how much time you have left in port. Oh, and the staff are all very nice.
