I love going to Lucky Grill. I usually order their famous bbq ribs, they are out of this world. The atmosphere is great, as well as the service. If you are in Valle de los Chillos, you have to go to Lucky Grill! Plus, if you ask Santi, you can see his artistic work and get unique works of art!

Lucia and I used to eat here when we traveled to Sangolqui for the outdoor fruit and vegetable market. This place is on the west side of the San Pedro River from Sangolqui and I believe the bario is San Pedro, not Sangolqui, but none of the maps recognize San Pedro so Sangolqui it is.When ever I'm in Ecuador, I make the pilgrimage to Viveres Cecy for the barbecue. If you take the bus down, it's nice to get off the bus in San Pedro, have lunch then walk off some of your lunch by walking across the river over to Sangolqui. The street that crosses the river takes you to the main square where the Church is located near the market. By now you have room for a Salcedo!Grab some fresh fruit and vegetables for less than you would pay in Quito and jump the bus back to Quito.

Our experience was great, food and service. Also the ambiance was welcoming, nice grounds. The menu invite us to try new plates for us and we love it. We will certainly recommend it and will return when in the area.
