Find out what Barbecue restaurants to try in San Pedro. San Pedro is "La Isla Bonita" that Madonna made famous. Now it's a tourist mecca, but still boasts great beaches and plenty of dive shops so you can enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Plan a side trip to Caye Caulker while you're here; it is less developed and more laid back, and has its own splendid swimming areas.

This was the first place I ate when I visited San Pedro. It was very easy to find and the proprietor was very friendly. You can tell that he takes pride in his chicken. The jerk sauce is great. The portions could be larger. And thereâs no beer. But for a light, quick lunch, Iâd definitely go back.

Great service! We ordered yummy nachos & drinks. They were delivered to us out at our table on the water. Snorkeling around docks was ok-saw sargent majors. Go early to grab lounge chairs and umbrellas. Credit cards accepted. Some vendors walk around selling souvenir items too. Nice island type feel and music playing. mix of people-young, old, singles, families. Clear water, clear beach-no smelly seaweed. Water clear and shallow far out, so great beach for kids. Truly enjoyed this place! Activities available to do as well.

We had breakfast here once and only once. The food and service was not bad, but expensive for what it was. I should have known since there were no prices on menu. I think they evaluate you as you enter and decide the price at that time.

Biked out there from San Pedro and spent the day. It was an incredibly easy bike ride. 8 miles each way - all flat paved roads. Many of the blog posts regarding biking to Secret Beach were negative, but my wife and I found it very easy. Unlike with the golf carts the pot holes and speed bumps were easy to get around with a beach cruiser. And at $8 a day the beach cruiser rentals we found in downtown San Pedro were a good value also. The food was awesome. Although not a breakfast place they whipped up a couple breakfast burritos. Very tasty, and their home made hot sauce was out of this world. It was a thicker salsa like sauce that was out-of-this-world flavorful, and had plenty of heat! For $10 USD they gave me a small bottle to take home. Beautiful beach without the smelly Sargassum grass like on the reef side of the island. We brought our snorkel mask, and werenât disappointed. The rock/reef area on the shoreline was pretty cool. Some of the reefs were hollowed out underneath and housed tons of little fish. It was only in a of couple of feet of water so no Jacques Cousteau documentary, but worthwhile. Really a great day and the service and hospitality couldnât have been better. Highly recommend.
