Visited after local recommendations and I didn't read the menu closely as the meat portions were large. I ordered 3 meats, lean brisket was excellent, pulled pork and the smoked turkey, with pickles and fries. I was quite hungry and only just managed to eat the box meal. Very good value for money, but the meat was lukewarm, maybe getting close to ending the food service? There is a good selection of beers, but having ordered a second beer, it never arrived, so I went to Dodies post meal to get that drink. There was an open mike event on, so quite loud with 6-7 musicians performing and a lively crowd.

You order from the counter. Friendly girls taking your order, but it went downhill from there. My husband ordered the hamburger. it was red in the center(they didn't ask how he wanted it cooked). The fries were hand cut and looked delicious but they were crunchy. I had the chicken fried steak. it had a lot of gristle, the baked potato was also a little underdone. We won't be back.

My daughter treated me to the OLD Timer with extra cheese like my husband always liked...A good memory of him and it tasted really great. !! The service was excellent, atmosphere at the time we were there was very pleasant....The delicious dessert was Free with our coupon... the only issue was , we sat in a corner and the booth table was rather large for me to get close to the edge, but we had a good view... So enjoyable

Dickey's is one of the better barbeque places and they have very good meats. The line usually moves fairly quickly here and there are many choices for sandwiches, plates, and vegetables. It isn't exactly cheap, but the food is always nicely seasoned and is very tasty. The turkey, sausage and pulled pork are always great options and the stuffed baked potatoes are another favorite of ours. The sweet tea is good Texas sweet tea! There is also free soft serve ice cream for dessert. :)

Visiting Texas I would have thought the BBQ would have been better. I had the pulled pork sandwich, others had sliced beef sandwich and 2 meat platter with turkey & sausage.... no one was really impressed. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by and head to another BBQ place.
