Just a few blocks from the main square of the city, is this well run "Parrilla". A renovated old house, this barbecue restaurant offers traditional meat dishes with sizeable portions and good quality. Service wise, its very well run. The waiters are very helpful and attentive; the ambience has a rustic look, and there is enough space to have a nice dinner without been bother. I went a couple of times with my family and we try to order as much as we can, trying different dishes and options. The salads and side dishes are big and enough to share for a couple. The meat cuts are very good but try to avoid the steaks since it might be a little hard and overcook since its not something usually order. Try to order the typical cuts, like Vacio and Tira. English is rare in the entire northwest so rely on your guests and the occasional sign language. Open at night and late, so go after 22pm. Very good overall.

This is not only the best parilla in Santiago, but a lot of other places too. The bife de chorizo was superb. Perfectly cooked, no excess fat, no gristle. Service was excellent; friendly and fast. Prices less than I would ever have imagined, more than fair. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great value meal in Santiago!

Muy rica la comida de la Parrilla Sumaq. Si uno se encuentra alojado en el cercano Hotel Samay es la opción más cercana y aparte hacen un descuento

Estábamos alojados en unas cabañas alejadas de la ciudad, pero vimos la publicidad del restaurante en la heladera y fuimos personalmente a pedir comida para llevar. Fuimos un dÃa por unas milanesas con papas fritas y volvimos al dÃa siguiente por empanadas y pizza porque la verdad quedamos muy satisfechos con la calidad de los productos, por su precio y sobre todo por su sabor. Las porciones de milanesas son para compartir, bien abundantes, la pizza se destaca por su masa muy rica y las empanadas igual, bien rellenas de masa casera y super sabrosas. Solo voy a criticar el tiempo de demora en entregar el pedido, los dos dÃas fuimos temprano a realizar el pedido, la primera vez nos dieron 10 min de demora para que este listo y se demoraron mas de 30 minutos, el dÃa siguiente ya con la experiencia anterior fuimos mas temprano, nos dieron media hora de demora pero se demorar casi 1 hora, como estábamos de vacaciones y paseando no nos molesto, pero es un punto a mejorar.
