grilled meats, large menu, multilingual, on Drava River, large portions of excellent quality, very reasonable prices, friendly helpful service, Old Town center area
By the river Drava, few steps from Water tower, there is a cosy restaurant with great tasty Balcan food. Mekana rakija for beginning, then hot fresh lepinje to go well with cevapcici, vesalice, sudzukice and other meat specialities. Not cheap, but tasty.

Great location with parking in front of the restaurant and large terrace. The food is a typical Balkan barbecue with the possibility of delivery and a solid price.

Meating pub & restaurant is the place where you meet and eat meat (or vegetarian, of course). Beside delicious "a la cart" menu you can choose from different daily menus.
Went there with my girlfriend on Labor day when all other restaurants were closed. Absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend burgers which are delicious. Really a hidden gem in the home town. Dear Tim. Thank you so much for your kind words. We are more than happy that you enjoyed. Hope to see you again soon.

For the Balkan folks, Sarajevo is the best place to have Cevape and other grilled meats. Which makes it not a big surprise that this restaurant, off the tourist parts and close to student dorms is an insider story. The decoration remembers more the typical places in Bosnia and has resisted to the “all modern clear lines” or other fancy trends in the industry. If you like this type of food, here you are at home - and welcome by a charming team.

We ate here for a very reasonably priced family meal which was helpfully served, flavourful and generous. The only options are burgers which are in the 'gourmet burger' style, with optional sauces such as truffle and many ways to customise the end product. The diners were aged from 2 upwards and all seemed welcome in a pleasant, convivial, atmosphere. A safe choice of dining venue that wont break the bank.

Our host in Veliko Trgovišće recommenced Graso. It’s a huge restaurant with large dining rooms, upstairs and downstairs as well as outside seating. There arealso some smaller eating areas on th3 first floor. The decor is lovely - lots of woodwork. The menu has a wide selection, including some vegetarian options. All the food was very tasty. The soups were especially good. The portions are very large, excellent for sharing. They do provide doggie bags. The service was friendly. Prices reasonable. The place was packed on both occasions that we ate there. A bonus for families is the play area immediately adjacent to the outside eating area.Would recommend and gladly return.

The food was delicious, authentic atmosphere of the northwestern part of Croatia. They have craft beer and homemade hot sauces :D T-bone steak was tender and juicy, perfectly medium prepared. Homemade bread and fries. Portions od fries and grilled vegetables are small. Mushroom sauce and pepper sauce was perfect. Everything was great except the size of the side dishes portion.

Nice traditional restaurant in wooden house, nice quiet garden, large parking space, cossy atmosphere at subburb of Varazdin. Fine service and excellent traditional food. We were four (two vegeterians) and everybody was very happy with meals. Finally prices are very convenient. Will visit this place again.... :-)

We stayed one night at Bascarsija. When I made the room reservation I was affraid of the noise because of the restaurant and the terrace. Fortunately we had the apartment on the oposite side of the terrace. It was a nice experience. The ethno decorations in the restaurant create the atmosphere of the authentic Bosnian village. The food is great, large servings and the staff was very friendly. "Sirnica" pastry rolls filled with cottage cheese were delicious. I recommend !

The food is amazing, no matter what you choose, with even plentiful vegetarian and some vegan options while the beer selection is quite large for just a restaurant. The staff is very friendly and professional. The wait is a bit longer, so don't think that you've walked into a fast food place, even if their burgers are featured on every table around you.Reservations not needed, but highly recommended, especially around lunch and dinner time.Prices may be a bit on the high side, relative to its location, but it's well worth it.
