Returned to Crete this year and straight to Giaourtoplimmira for our first meal. Same excellent food and service. Children insisting on enjoying their meals here throughout their holiday. Highly recommended.

All the dishes we ordered that is pilafi with boiled lamb, antikrysto- roasted lamb along with roasted potatoes Cretan salad and calitsounia cheese pies were up to our expectations regarding taste and quality. Thanks God the music was Greek and soft. Overall it was excellent value for the E 110 we paid the six of us.

We ordered a couple of aperol spritz which didnât taste right, the soda was flat and the Prosecco was non existent. We both had grilled fish, the sea bass was well cooked, the swordfish didnât feel or taste like it was grilled. Everything was covered in a weird sauce that had a synthetic after taste which made it difficult to enjoy our meals. Upon speaking to the waiter, he didnât have much to say. Well after a disappointing meal the night before at a different restaurant we went to Socrates hoping for some better food.... and they delivered it. Really tasty, well presented food. Good, decent portion sizes. I had fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection with a gorgeous pepper sauce. The lady owner spent time chatting to us and was so friendly, wish we had chance to eat here a second time before we left! Definitely worth a visit, the view is amazing from the restaurant as well! If you go at the right time you can watch the sunset !

Beer,this time Mythos, was served in frozen glas. On the house we got an apertizer with grillad bread and something to dip it in. We orded moussaka, that was very beautiful served with tomato, cucumber, pepper and onion and was very good. And as a dessert we was given an icecream and of course some raki, on the house! This is a restaurant that we gladly rekommend if you are in Kolymbari, Crete.
