The atmosphere and environment of this restaurant was amazing. The waiters and staff were so sweet and helped us understand menu choices and wine choices - the portion sizes were HUGE. My husband and I could have easily shared a plate but because we love to eat, we indulged! They have a full bar, an incredible wine list, and their desserts are second to none. I enjoyed the length of time we were there. Americans tend to rush their meals and are in/out within 45 minutes to an hour - whereas, in Argentina - your dining experience is just that - an experience. Plan on staying at any restaurant, including this one, for at least 2 hours. highly recommend for price and atmosphere!Dear Chrissy, thank you so much for such detailed comment, we are glad you enjoyed our experience. Everyone should be able to take a few hours to enjoy a dinner ! Hope to see you soon,Regards,Dantesco

If you go to Don Mario, try to starve yourself a bit because food will be excellent and will come in insane portions. It is one of the older places in Mendoza and more traditional. That means a bit olde clientelle, slow service and unbelievable amounts of meat served. It has the Argentinian charm in that way. But if you want a posh modern place with architectural food plating, it is not a place for you...Muchas Gracias !!!!!!!

We recently had dinner at La Barra. The restaurant has lovely outdoor seating under grape vines which had huge clumps of plump grapes hanging down.We ordered a steak to share and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection. We also had a side dish grape tomatoes, onions and basil which was slightly heated in olive of which was very tasty. The only downside is that you have to pay by cash. No credit cards.

This exclusive Grill Q Mendoza restaurant at Park Hyatt is open for lunch and dinner, with traditional dishes such as the classic parrilla argentina, locro and empanadas that will delight its visitors.
Nice setting with open grill--detracted by large group of noisy unsupervised children. weird Caesar salad presentation with many kinds of lettuce & too much dressing. Rustic fries were nothing special; BUT, the grilled sirloin steak cooked medium rare was excellent. Dessert was disappointingWe apologize for the inconvenience. We regret that your experience was not the expected. We are confident that we will have new opportunities to show our sincere hospitality.

We chose this restaurant due to the name alone - we have a friend who often says âJesus Mariaâ. When we arrived we were the first there at 830pm. The service was fabulous with helpful assistance with our language questions - the waiter spoke perfect English. The food was fabulous - the Morcilla was the best ever tasted and the salads and other food was amazing. The restaurant filled up later and the atmosphere was fun.

The best meats, fish and more. Excellent place to visit with family or friends, business or pleasure.
We decided to try Don Mario for lunch and were both surprised and delighted. Excellent choice of appetizers and main courses. We opted to share both, a cold-cut and cheese appetizer and a brochette for the entree. Both featured generous proportions and had excellent flavor. The brochette was perhaps the best in my experience. Service was similarly outstanding: attentive, informative, but not intrusive.

Options for everyone taste. Everything prepare at the moment. We only use the best quality of supply.
Finally getting around to reviewing one of the best restaurants we ate in during our South America trip. The inside was decorated in a homey, Argentinian-decor and the food and wine were absolutely on point! Would recommend to anyone after a great meal in Mendoza.

We had the tasting menu. We had a courtesy first plate of asparagus and fried cassava. Very good. Unfortunately it was served in a plastic bowl with a plastic spoon. Not at the standard and quality of the restaurant. The second plate was a good provoleta with Argentinian sausage. The wines fitted very good. The third plate was excellent: matured meat, carefully roasted. This plate was as we expected, and served with a very good wine. The salad was ok. Nothing special. The dessert was very good, just a little hard because it was too frozen and difficult to cut with a spoon. The waiters need to be more sensitive to special needs from the guests: we were a little hurried because we had to leave to the airport, and I had to tell this to the waiters on three occasions to hurry up with the next plate.
