Had the most delightful, flavorful BBQ lunch. Owner served us in his BBQ apron. Said it had just come off the grill. Y u m.Shared 2 two meat plates, pulled pork, brisket, ribs and chicken. ALL were great. There are more meats available. The coleslaw and baked beans were just fine. Hot bbq sauce had just enough heat to be tasty. Mild was just a nice compliment to the meat, no heat.Definately have to look for this place but the best are almost always hidden gems..

Sonny's BBQ of Fort Walton Beach. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
Sonny's is your standard chain BBQ restaurant with locations throughout the southeast United States -- but mostly concentrated in Florida. I'm from Texas where most of the barbecue rubs and sauces are savory instead of sweet, but Sonny's sauces seem to be exceptionally sweet -- basically like karo syrup flavored with mustard and liquid smoke. I wasn't a fan of the sauces. My brisket was moist and warm. There wasn't any smoked flavor to speak of -- it was almost like it had been cooked in an oven. The green beans were nice and flavorful and the cornbread was moist and slightly sweet. The coleslaw was standard coleslaw -- nothing really stood out about it.Service was excellent. My waitress was very friendly and kept my iced tea filled. I probably won't visit a Sonny's BBQ again if this is typical of their food -- unless I'm in need of a low-carb meal.

Here at The Parsons Son BBQ we pride ourselves on Great BBQ and Great Family. All of our food is homemade and created by the "Big Pig" himself our owner Tom. Come through our line and see why we pride ourselves on our customer service.
I had dinner here on a Saturday night. The restrauant was faily busy always a good sign as this was my first visit. After spending five minutes reviewing the menu, I placed my order. The servers as well as the cashier very very plesent and professional. Do not forget to ask for the military discount if eligible. I order Burnt Ends with Texas toast, baked beens and coleslaw. There were several bbq sauces to choose from and I was not disappointed. The taste and quanity of the food was Excellent, however, the burnt ends and baked beans were on warm! and that is unacceptable. If the food had been served at the proper tempature, I would give it a FIVE. While the place is a little run down, the parking lot a little rough, the food and price make this an excellent choice. I will be back again and again! NO Beer Served!

While I'm not the greatest BBQ connoisseur (hardly the appropriate word to use for such a fine, albeit folksy establishment), but this was such a great experience. A colleague and I went during lunch to find an expectedly local feel when entering, complete with hardcore southern accents and minimal decor. We got seated and ordered the appropriate amount of diabeetus (sweet tea). I got chipped (?) BBQ and some ribs with a small side of brunswick stew and fries. Wow, I can't say I've had such great barbecue. It was truly amazing. If you need that BBQ fix, this place is calling you. Stop sleeping, reading, taking care of your children- whatever it is distracting you from meeting Jesus, and get going! Thanks for the awesome review. We are so glad you enjoyed the food. Please come back and see us!

We were back in town and Daddy's was always the place to eat. Not anymore. Been going there since '89 and always good. Fries were re fried, ribs were left overs heater up and chicken was over cooked. So no more for me. Oh bath rooms were nasty.
