Find out what Barbecue restaurants to try in Lubbock. The legacy of Buddy Holly lives on in his birthplace of Lubbock, where a museum, a walk of fame and an annual music festival honor musicians hailing from the area. Its museums shed light on the agricultural and military history of the region. Lubbock's many parks, golf courses and wineries provide a relaxing break from it all. Add to all of this a hopping nightlife and Lubbock truly is the "Hub City" of activity in the South Plains area.

Great food reasonable price. The entrees are big enough for two or definitely for a second meal. Long wait on food but definitely worth it. Very small not much seating but great for takeout.
serving up quality American Cuisine with a setting that is unlike anything you will find out here in West Texas
Nice park environment spoiled only by average food. Salad served with vegetable oil, in error apparently, and while the mistake was owned by the server and manager it spoiled the taste for the rest of the meal. The ribs were OK and Bloddy Mary (that is how it is spelled on the menu) was as advertised with sweet bacon blended in (my error for ordering as, though I like bacon it made the Bloody Mary a weird taste). Our server was very busy seeming to be serving half the diners so while the food came out quickly the wait to report the salad error and for the check was rather long.

Only open 11am-2:30 M-F, so go there for lunch weekdays! Been here several times, not enough. I've had the large sliced brisket sandwich and it is moist and delicious. I ate all of mine while my two male sissy-skinny type friends couldn't finish it. Chopped sandwiches also great. Had the large Frito Pie yesterday and barely finished it...just great again. Have not had his ribs but that is next and I'm expecting greatness again. Owner is on site and taking care of business. Priced very reasonable. I love BBQ and eat it everywhere...this is one of the best. This is a joint...and looks like it....very interesting décor but who cares about décor! Eddie is busy every day, but lots of seats inside and it's clean! I'm here for the food folks!

Atmosphere is everything! Chill, laid back inviting place great food, great atmosphere, amazing service. Iâve read some reviews of this place and was hesitant, but decided to give it a shot. Haters gonna be haters I guess. Try it for yourself, then decide.

Stopped in for dinner several minutes before they were supposed to reopen for the evening crowd. No problem! We were welcomed like family. I was hard to choose from all the delicious menu items. The gal talked me into have some of their self-serve free pork rinds. I had sliced brisket, pulled pork, fried corn on the cob, green beans, potato salad, and cornbread. My wife had the chicken fried steak. Mine was wonderful. My wife wasn't crazy about hers. I told her they are BBQ experts. We shared a pecan cobbler ala mode. I only wish I lived nearby so I could come back for their ribs and other great looking sides.

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.
I bought several items for my family and was disappointed at the quality of the food. Lots of fat in our chopped beef sandwiches and not much meat on the ribs. This used to be better.

We found the Shack on TripAdvisor and decided to check it out ona Sunday, late afternoon. Drove up and there were no cars so almost didnât go in. So glad we did. All that was left was brisket and jalapeno sausage so we had both. We got the last of the brisket for the day. The four of us liked both very much. Would love to try the ribs. Sides were exceptional and bbq sauces were good although the sweet was too sweet. They cook daily and might run out when items are gone so maybe call ahead if itâs later in the day to see whatâs left. Great folks working there too.
