Discover Restaurants offering the best Barbecue food in Long Beach, California, United States. For some, a tour of the Queen Mary, docked here since its retirement in 1967, evokes waves of nostalgia for the days of the huge ocean liner with its opulent rooms, 1930s deco décor and teakwood decks. Others, particularly the younger set, are entranced by the spine-tingling haunted ship stories on the nighttime ghost tour. But for everyone, a visit to this floating hotel and museum is a must on any trip to Long Beach. At one time a less-than-appealing place to visit, Long Beach has transformed itself into an upscale tourist resort, with many waterfront attractions, including a new, state-of-the-art aquarium with a fabulous shark exhibit, two excellent art museums, charming shops, public golf courses, the annual April Grand Prix international auto race and lots of recreational activities along its eight-mile stretch of beach. Take the kids to the waterfront entertainment complex with rides and live performances or to the farming demonstrations at Rancho Los Alamitos. Feeling romantic? Cruise the canals of Naples (that's right, Naples Island in Long Beach) in a genuine Venetian gondola. One thing is for sure: tensions and stresses dissolve in this laid-back, friendly city.

We choose this restaurant, longing for some southern foods. We were seated quickly, and get our order in a decent time. The gumbo fries was humongous amount, enough for a village. The blackened shrimp was delicious, also the greens.Buffalo wings were yummy no joke on the spice. Too bad only come with 2 skinny celery stick for 12 wings. It was really good place to eat. We will be back

My fault for going here after a trip to Austin, but the menu looked good and they have a smoker and the place was well located.First impression: Too much air conditioning. Our whole (large party) retreated to their cars for sweaters.Second impression: Menu was weird. Lots of very expensive entrees, but some really low priced apps that seemed to be filling and even better prices at "happy hour" (until 7PM)No brisket on the menu except as part of a combo, but they had burnt ends? The Burnt Ends were decent. Overcooked and fatty, but served in a good sauce.Grilled chicken salad was pretty good.

"Serving the Best Bar-B-Que with the Finest Southern Hospitality"
I loved the down home feel and home cook'in foods at this restaurant. Built like an old fashion down south real BBQ diner that just invites you in for a great meal. Loved our lunch/dinner here. All the food was delicious!BOTTOM LINE: Yes, yes, this restaurant is worth your visit! If you love good BBQ meats, I had the Tri-Tip BBQ and it was the best I have ever eaten anywhere! My wife had a Chicken Caesar salad the was huge and delicious. I really liked the personal touch of the ambiance this place exudes. Another in our party had a half-slab of pork ribs that were incredible. You got to try this place out. If you love real BBQ, you got'a try Lucille's! Worth every penny! Our service was excellent. We came away full and satisfied. We loved the home cooked biscuits and honey butter not to mention the home style corn bread I chose as one of my sides. Their menu has something for everyone. This restaurant works well for family or for groups of friends.

Visited here for lunch on a weekday. Place was pretty crowded. Very rustic inside, trying to make ya feel like you're in a shack somewhere down South I imagine. Friendly staff. Very attentive. Prices are typical to most BBQ places. I ordered Combo with brisket and pulled pork which comes with two sides and either biscuit, cornbread or hush puppies. I got hush puppies, mac n' cheese and collard greens. The food was all pretty good. The brisket and pulled pork were decent but seemed to be lacking a little in real smoky flavor. Sweet tea was very good and the offer to get a refill "to go" at the end of the meal certainly rings try to how it's done down south. Not a bad option for BBQ but there are better places a little closer to Los Angeles.

I'm not sure if Beachwood BBQ & Brewing sees the barbecue as a primary focus or not, but I was disappointed. The meat had little flavor and the sauce was institutional. There was a good selection of beer, including a number that they brew themselves. If you go, go for the beer.

My Husband and I are regulars here. We like to sit in the Bar area. Jennifer is great at the bar. She makes a wonderful Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini...wowser!I can't get enough of the Basket of Baby Back Ribs and Hubby loves the Tri Tip Sandwich and orders it as rare as possible. The French Fries are hot and crunchy. One of our favorite spots...real casual!

This place was a different bbq restaurant for many years called Famous Dave's Bbq so I was not sure how good this replacement would hold up to Famous Dave's. We were pleased to discover that its very good. Many items that you were able to enjoy before are still offered here at Q's. Especially glad to see that they continued the tradition of excellent corn bread on the menu here! Don't miss out on this place.
