Great taverna at the village of Platy, a few km from Myrina. The taverna is a hidden gem. Family management. Meat is grilled in real fire. Staff very friendly. Nice unpretentious atmosphere. Not touristic. All food is fresh and local. Try their fried courgettes and huge 'horiatiki' souvlaki special also recommended!!! Great prices too!

Meraklis tavern is a good choice to eat out especially in the evening. Its ideal location in the central square of Tsimandria village offers a quiet and cool enviroment to enjoy your dinner as we did. The tavern is charming, clean and a true reflection of how a greek traditional tavern should be.The young boys at the service were fast and explained everything concerning our menu choices and recommended what was best for our taste.The food was fresh and delicious and the portions were huge as you can see in the photos.The bill was in accordance with the amazingly good prices of Lemnos island.My complaints concern the meat seasoning - especially that of the grilled pork pancetta, which should also be a lot thinner in order to be more crunchy and tasty.Overall Meraklis is a value for money place!
