One of the ladies that works there, Keiko I think, was a wonderful host and provided me with the finest service and customer experience I had during my time in Japan.

It is great to have veteran Aspen chef Barclay Dodge back in his own restaurant, cooking his distinctive dishes that hint of of Spanish, Moroccan and even Chinese flavors. In a town where so much of the restaurant fare is the same, his dishes stand out. We loved the tempura shiitakes, the sweet and sour eggplant and halibut, flavored with ginger and dressed up with heirloom tomatoes and snap peas. On both of our visits, service was very professional and always welcoming. Why not five stars? The tiny dining room is very noisy. Try for outdoors, where the people watching is great. Bread service would be a nich touch. And at lunch, the chicken salad was dry.
