Going to this restaurant is a must for me when I visit Kingsport. I go there at least once and usually twice while I'm there. Their BBQ sandwiches and fries are yummy, and they have the best sweet iced tea in the area.

While looking for somethingdifferent for lunch, we decidedto check out Pratt's. Our server was Marlena and she was greatsuper friendly. My husband got the burger w/ barn chips. I got a vegetable plate with mac and cheese, corn, mashed potatoes and smokehouse beans. Everything was delicious especially the beans. The portions are super generous. Plus they give you these wonderful corn muffins. Can't believe we waited so long to try this place. We will definitely be going back.

This place is totally informal with outstanding barbeque. I would say it was a hidden gem but the place was packed -- lots of people agree that the barbeque is outstanding. We ordered the pulled pork sandwiches -- even the sides (baked beans, homemade chips, fries) are really good. Highly recommend. They need a bigger parking lot in addition to lots more tables.

For me this is one of the best barbecue restaurants in the Southeast. The Que is always excellent and every side and dessert that I have tried has been very good. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Que is plentiful... It would be difficult to eat lite at Phil's. It is worth a stop. Just a mile or so off I-81.
