Michigan is not really know for BBQ, but The Pit Stop is excellent BBQ anywhere. Go early for lunch; youâll still wait, youâll just wait less. The wait is worth it, however. Cafeteria style service, no inside seating. Only four picnic tables out front; they are covered if itâs raining, but outside so wear a coat if itâs cold.I know itâs not the South, but some fresh brewed iced tea would go better than canned with the food.

Our server was very friendly and helpful; however, despite the sunny day it was so dark in the restaurant. Our table felt like it was sticky. The beer selections is good and my veggie burger was tasty, but I don't think I would eat here again.

Daddy Peteâs BBQ started in 2012 as a food truck and now features a to-go location! Please note - our hours are 11am-8pm but if we sell out of our slow smoked BBQ for the day, we will close early and start again smoking fresh the next day.

Some may recognize this location as where L.T's Barbeque was. It is mostly just a take out restaurant even though they do have a table or 2.I ordered a pound of Pulled Pork, a large Baked Beans, and a small Mac n Cheese. The Pulled pork came with 3 buns to put the meat on and some sweet and spicy pickles. The pulled pork reminded me of some excellent pulled pork I had down south in South Carolina. It's more of a simple and excellent form of pulled pork. It was all extremely tasty. The pickles are the surprising star, they start with a nice sweetness then Bam they are spicy. The Baked Beans started a little odd to me at first. I can't tell what it is they add but it's a different taste than I am used too. However once it cooled down a little and I kept eating I very much enjoyed them. Sadly I did not like the Mac n Cheese. It was too bland and congealed for my tastes. The Service was simply excellent.Overall I am giving 4 stars. This bbq joint is going to become my #3 ranked bbq joint in G.R. after #1 Pit Stop and #2 Slows. Would I Return? Absolutely.
