Next time I visit Jackson, Bubba's will be my go-to place for breakfast or lunch. A family friendly restaurant with good BBQ, good service, and excellent value. They offer reserved up-front parking for military and veteran customers ⦠While parking is not a problem it was a nice, welcoming touch.

We had the pulled pork and Philly cheesesteak, both with kettle chips. The pork was tender and flavorful, and a very large portion. I added Cole slaw, which was vinegar based and tasty. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but a smaller portion. The kettle chips were excellent. Wait staff was efficient and friendly.

We stopped at The Deck for a couple of drinks and to enjoy the live singers. The singers were great but the service was very slow and disorganized. We sat for about 15 - 20 minutes for a waiter/waitress and several walked passed our table. Not sure what the problem was, maybe this business did not want to make any money that day. We just wanted a couple of beers, finally someone asked if we were waited on, we ordered two beers from this person (he might of been the supervisor/manager), he came back with one beer and said the keg was empty he would bring the other shortly. After waiting another 30 minutes still no beer, we tipped the singers, paid for the one beer and left. Don't waste your time going to this place especially if you are thirsty. This could be a great place with some organization.
