Reviews on Barbecue food in Ischia, Province of Naples, Italy. Serving as the main port town for the island of the same name, the town of Ischia has been inhabited for centuries, famous for its beaches and the healing waters of its spas. The town is divided in two: Ischia Porto is the harbor district and commercial center of the island, filled with brightly lit taverns and bars, and Ischia Ponte, the historic quarter, with its ancient castle and its stone streets seemingly frozen in time.

Rinomata stekhouse braceria con ottima pizzeria a doppio forno adatto anche per ricevimenti con una bellissima terazza panoramica sul golfo di napoli!
It is better to book your table as it is a successful restaurant-pizzeria and the risk of not finding an available table is quite real.We chose tha country starters (in my pics you see what they serve for just 1 person!), then trofie pasta with clams and porcini and a pizza with stuffed border. Everything was tasty and well served. Rosa dei Venti has several room for its guests which are characterized by beautiful decors and details. The view from its wide windows is definitely breathtaking.Rates in the average. The only negative point is their private parking area: small, not asphalted and with a side dangerously open over a valley.

Speciality: rabbit in aromatic herbs known for meat dishes
We had been visiting Ischia for a long weekend. Inspired by Alex Pollizziâs âItalian Islandsâ programme about Ischia, I decided to take my partner to Il Focolare. The restaurant looked a little bit different from what we remembered watching a programme. Once we sat at the table, I asked a waitress, who looked familiar to me, if they had any celebrities visits. She told us about Gerard Depardieu and Alex Pollizzi. So my doubt had disappeared and I knew we were in the right place. So we were served by the restaurant ownerâs daughters. We found out that Ricardoâs 2 sons were working as the chefs in the kitchen. The antipasti which were complimentary to the main dish were delicious; our ordered Ischian wine was perfect. The cooked rabbit was tender, tasty and prepared with lots of love of Ricardo family. Ricardo spoke to the most of his customers during that evening. He came to us to say hello and we had a long chat. He shared his memories with us ....about his journey to London, his trip on a scooter from London to Bristol and many others. We had an absolutely brilliant time. P.S. taxi fare to get to the restaurant and back was absolutely rip off. I recommend to ask your hotel receptionist to book a taxi for you.

Luigi is highly regarded on TripAdvisor - mostly by Italian-speakers. It is excellent but not quite as special as Terrazzo di Mimi where we had eaten the previous night. It is a simple restaurant right on the beach and serves as the eating place for those who rent Luigi's beach cabins, umbrellas and chairs. As such I imagine it is very busy for lunch. On our mid-week evening we opened the restaurant at 8:15 and only one other table was occupied by the time we left. We were most welcomed, and not surprisingly there was no delay in service. We received a complimentary prosecco on arrival and a similar limoncello after our meal. We started with an amuse-bouche - a single fat shelled shrimp wrapped in a shredded filo crust and quickly fried - quite superb. The quite small menu consists of novel takes on traditional Italian seafood. Our party of four shared an antipasto, two pastas, two seafood grills, and two bottles of a recommended Pallagrello (E26 each). The antipasto was squid filled with a mixture of mashed potato and mild cheese. One pasta had a sauce of botarga (fish roe), the other a speciality of dissolved anchovies and broccoli rabe. Both were perfectly done. The grill contained shrimp, squid, octopus, and another crustacean I can't name. The total bill came to E75 per couple. The atmosphere is most pleasant, the service friendly and helpful. We have no complaints and certainly recommend it without reservation.

Great view, we have been sitting almost in the water...food was also good...but I am pretty sure that I have overpaid my sea bass...LoL....it was exactly 1000g and 65â¬\kg.Here my errors:1) I didn't ask for the price!2) I haven't seen the fish with my own eyes!3) I could have even asked to weigh it!Again good experience, but 0 transparency....And a feeling to have been cheated...

The restaurants in ischia sell pretty much the same thing. But this place is slightly different. It's all about the meat. I had pork steak and my wife had a ribeye. They were very big. Very tasty. Accompanied by amazing potatoes. A nice change from the usual. Highly recommended.

Probably the best pizza we've ever had - we'd absolutely recommend pizza 'la completa' with fresh tomatoes, prosciutto, arugula & fresh parmesan. Start with a fresh seafood appetizer & wash it down with the house red (which was defintely better than a lot of house wines) & you'll be very satisfied! The service is great & the view from up on the hillside makes for a pretty perfect dinner. If you've got a scooter to drive up here, you'll be very pleased about your restaurant choice : )

We wanted to have something else than pasta and pizza. Porcavacca came across on Tripadvisor, so we booked a table - and we were definetely not disappointed! The manager of the restaurant was really friendly and professional and knew what to recommend to every customer. We had cold cuts charcuterie as a shared starter and as mains two different kind of steaks. The portions as well as the price of the food was just spot on. Excellent service, modern and cozy interior, great wines and perfect food. Porcavacca Steakhouse gets absolutely 10/10! We will come back next time!
