Went early, about 5:30 PM so restaurant wasn't too busy. Waitress said our waitress was waiting on table of twenty five so she would take order. Ordered wine, appetizer, chicken fried steak and grilled shrimp (wife's). Salad came quickly, wine too but no appetizer. Order came, cancelled appetizer. Wife's shrimp almost cold, my chicken fried steak soggy. Probably sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up by waitress who must have been busy waiting table of twenty five. Hopefully others will have better experience. We will continue to patronize Fisherman's Wharf which has consistently good food and fast service. I see no reason to return to Red Oak.

If you don't get your fill here, then you just can't be filled! Best pulled pork I've ever had to touch my lips...and the sandwiches make two meals for hubby & I...Corn on the cob so sweet you'd think you're eating candy! Cole slaw was amazing...and desserts to beat any bakery around! Possum Pie was a new try for us...was good, but I love that coconut creme one a whole lot too! Favorite place to grab a bite...and did I mention how nice the folks are?

First time trying this place, so walked in and didnât have a clue if we needed to be seated or what as there was no sign, a gentleman (customer ) informed us that we needed to grab a tray and order at counter and pay so it was fast getting our food, we carried our tray with food and drinks to table, it was 6 of us and we all agreed that food was pretty good, cole slaw and sauce just ok. If you need a refill you need to get up and go back to counter and have it refilled as thereâs no waitresses, overall was pretty good, I would go back.

My wife and I ordered the super sampler. More than enough food for another meal. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, sausage and fish were all superbly done. Tender and delicious. They offer a variety of barbecue sauces and sides (we had green beans, coleslaw and baked beans all of which were very good). Also had Texas toast, roll and hush puppies. Mouth watering yet.

I stopped in for take out BBQ for dinner and ordered 1lb. BBQ pork, 1 pint of beans and 1 pint of slaw. Total was $28 and change. Disappointing to say the least; hereâs why. The pork had little smoke flavor in the meat, it was chopped and not pulled, there was a sauce on the pork but not enough to tell. The beans were white beans in some brown liquid that wasnât baked beans. The slaw was okay. Disappointing to say the least. Food was average at best with minimal flavor. Chopped meat was hard to keep on bun! The price was TOO EXPENSIVE! I find Smoking In Style more to my liking.
