Lately I've been on a quest for find a really great pulled pork (sandwich or platter) which is how we wound up here. Especially when you look at other places they have really good prices.I had the pulled pork platter with fries and mac and cheese. It should have come with bread, which they forgot but there was more than enough food that it wasn't missed. The mac and cheese was a little bland. Not the typical elbow macaroni you usually see, instead a longer noodle. My wife and I loved the fries. More the type you get some where like 5 Guys burgers, a little darker with the skin still on some. I knew the pork wasn't going to the be end of my search when it came out rather heavily coated in sauce (sauce was good). Overall the pork was good but I feel most of the flavor probably due to the amount of sauce was from the sauce. Kind of hard to tell. Still made a great lunch. My wife had chicken Caesar wrap which she enjoyed with her fries. Overall a nice stop and if in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to stop at again. From the signs on the walls they seem to have a decent or growing selection of different beers. There is also a display with cupcakes and brownies for dessert.

Stopped in this place after seeing and smelling the smoke from across the street. It's built into a micro strip mall connected to a corner gas station. Very simple inside, a few tables, and the real deal smoky barbecue. This is a counter service place. The smoker is going right behjnd the order counter in this tiny restaurant so if you don't like bbq smoke maybe wait outside.I had the lunch combo of turkey tips, hot link, fries, a slice of bread and a micro cup of cole slaw. An outrageous value at just $7.99 for this and a small soda with free refills. This place was busy with a lot of folks taking to go orders.Turkey tips were great. Tender, smoky, and great sauce. Hot link was tender and smoked perfectly however I wasnt a fan of the seasoning. Fries were soggy as they were underneath all the barbecue. Cole slaw was creamy and delicious. When I go back I'll pass on the hot link and ask for the fries on the side in a separate container.Unless you're super hungry stick to the value deals as it's plenty of food.

I have been buying BBQ from Exsenator's for at least 20 years. We average one visit per month, whenever we get a jones for some great "Que". All of his food is awesome. Prices have gone up somewhat, but who hasn't raised prices in the past ten years? Hot links are the best in the world, followed right behind by his mouth watering rib tips & half a BBQ chicken. It is just a hole in the wall, but they sure know how to do great "Que"!! This is strictly carry-out, with plenty of free parking right outside the door. Just drive down 159th Street in Markham till ya smell that awesome smoke!! Much better hours now---even open for lunch. Can't recall if they do cards?---I always bring cash. They also have a nice carry-out menu, so we always call our orders in---takes 15 minutes, and I just so happen to live exactly 15 minutes away---perfect. And the sauces are superb---just right!! Fries aren't great, but then again, they aren't bad either. Dogs fight over the sopping Wonder bread slices & fries---but they get NO tips, links or chicken---too good to share. Lots of combos to help save you a few bucks! We are loyal customers!!!
