La Mola

Reviewed By Kelly T

It was soooo good. Was visiting relatives in Morolo and never knew there was this restaurant tucked away in a side road going up the mountain from the autostrada. Delicious foods…all homemade by the owners. The decor is rustic and clean. The outside surroundings are beautiful with a lot of trees, flowers and a large stream runs under the property. Really…really nice place. I look forward to my return to LaMola. PS: They also market their own brand of these little biscotti's with anise sprinkled with a bit of sugar. Ask them for a bag.

Locanda del Ruspante

Reviewed By MatesRatesGB

We were staying across the road and so felt that eating here would be the easy option. No negotiating windy Italian roads in the fog after several grappas was the reasoning. As it turned out, the food was so good, we would not have trotted out this excuse every evening had we stayed longer.Despite the relatively quiet nature of the area, it is November after all as well as the relative isolation of the restaurant, it is popular and quickly filled after we arrived. Given the weather, we were touched and flattered that they chose to give to us the table very near to the roaring wood fire in the corner, which was greatly appreciated. There does not seem to be a menu as such and I could be wrong but I think that what is available is what they are cooking and you can either opt in or indeed opt out. As if that’s likely to happen. The waitress who was very attentive offered us a choice of meats for the main course but I went for a little of everything – their suggestion, I hasten to add. We started with the antipasti which was delicious. They make their own salamis and cure their meats too – the secret to the former is apparently that you add orange peel while making it. There is actually a cookery school on site so you can go and learn how to do this if you feel tempted. I for one am!The next course was pasta in a tomato sauce, all sourced off the estate I imagine. After this was the meat which was delicious and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. I opted in, needless to say to the gelato which I had for dessert. Once again, sublime and needless to say, created in-house. All of his was accompanied by a couple of carafe’s of locally sourced wine. Yes, I know – they don’t make their own wine: what’s that all about? This was finished off with a glass of complimentary limoncello which was ideal. No need for the grappa as it turned out. The bill then came and it illustrated that the meal was obscenely inexpensive. Perhaps someone had been hitting the grappa behind the scenes after all.So in summary, a lovely restaurant, charming staff, delicious food and wine and prices that I have not seen in a restaurant of this quality for decades. Why are there not more like this? I shall be returning soon and I would encourage anyone else who likes good Italian food to head here too.

Monster Burger

As a burger enthusiast and having had burgers all over the world I was a bit disappointed. The choices are extensive. But that also means maintaining quality can be tricky. The meat did NOT feel fresh, the pulled pork was okay. The fries were good. They are a mix between fast food and restaurant. Monster Burger Frosinone

Glio Montano

Reviewed By Travelator523

Glio Montano is just a short walk away from the main square in Privernos Centro Storico. We (my girlfriend, mother, brother and brothers girlfriend) we're the first to arrive on the scene, and were greeted by the cheerful staff. We dined there during Notte Bianca, and a special menu was in place for this event. We first received a (large) number of appetizers, including, but not limited to- mozzarella di buffala / caprese, pecorino-cheese, melanzana with a tomato sauce and melted cheese, polenta, prosciutto & melone and bresaola on rughetta. After devouring all the appetizers, most of which were very good, we commented that we almost felt full already. And the actual meal had barely begun! We were then served a gnocchi dish, which was very solid, but we had to ask them not to be too generous with the servings so we could have space for the rest of the meal. The secondo piatto was seared steak on salad. The meat was very tasty, though I did miss the balsamico reduction that the restaurant usually serves alongside this dish. Finally we were treated to a (thankfully small) delicious panna cotta with fresh berries. We asked the staff to recommend both a white and red wine, and both were excellent. The staff was courteous and friendly throughout. The price for this massive meal was very reasonable. All in all we had a great experience at Glio Montano, and will certainly return there next time we are in Priverno. I've dined at Glio Montano on a number of occasions, and I've yet to be disappointed. Highly recommended!

I've just finished the middle school exams, and yesterday I went to 'L'ottagono' with my class and all the other thirds class of my school, for celebrating the school end. We all had paid over 20€ , and we had a buffet. The food wasn't particularly good, and there were really few different dishes. There was pasta and rice, sandwiches, chips and some cakes. The restaurant is composed by a small indoor hall (very very small), some outdoor sofas, a garden, and two sheds where there are some tables. I was very disappointed.

Osteria Volsci

Our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing lunch here last October on our way back to Rome from Sorrento. The service was terrific thanks to the kindness and hard work of our server Stefan. He helped us navigate the extensive, fabulous menu, wine choices, etc. We all loved the antipasto and highly recommend starting with it! We all selected pasta dishes, which were all crazy good. As a Celiac, I rarely enjoy the Gluten free pasta at a restaurant, fearing cross-contamination, but here the Gluten free pasta is cooked in a separate pot, using fresh water. It was so good and we would return on our next Italy visit.Dear barbarascookies,We would like to thank you for your wonderful review and for your kind words on Osteria Volsci. We are glad to know our service has added value to your visit, by providing best suggestions on food and wine choices among our extensive premium menu.We are also very happy to read your comment on our gluten free selections and proud you have enjoyed your meal due to our experience in this field. We look forward to seeing you again soon during your next trip to Italy. Next time, please also take a chance to visit our beautiful mother land Ciociaria and stunning cost not far from Frosinone (Sabaudia, Circeo, Ponza island, etc). With best regards,Osteria Volsci
